Like I said, really stange, because I got a 4 star for a Sat. night 4/24.

  9. We got Country Inn & Suites in Tucson on the BetterBidding Web site for one night 5/26. We stayed there one other time. Clean, free breakfast. A comfortable 2.5* $42 plus $13.04 tax = $55.04

Here's what happened: 3/3 bid $110...not accepted (I only bid one area/price a day because I had plenty of time) 3/4 " $115... " " 3/5 " $125 " " 3/7 " $130 " " 3/10 $140 " " 3/11 bid $148...not accepted, but asked me to raise my bid $25. I did and below are the results: room -$534.00 (173 per day) taxes -$92.82 I forgot to add I used the PRICELINE link on these boards.
  13. Thought I'd share with all how I'm doing trying to get 4* in Vancouver (Downtown only) for our pre-cruise trip. We're looking at 3 nights, 9/19-9/22/08. Most of the 4*'s are going for around $250 per night on the Internet. I have plenty of time, so I've started out low; hoping to catch one at a good price. It's going to be tough, because it is the end of cruise season and it's on a weekend! 3/3 bid $110 rejected 3/4 bid $115 " 3/5 bid $125 " I'm going out of town until Sunday, so no bidding until then.
  14. Is March too early to start bidding for a 4* in Vancover downtown for Late September?
  15. Thank you!! That is a great site! I'll be bidding for a 4* for the 9/19-9/22 period in March. I'll REMEMBER to post the results when I get the room. Larry

  17. We ended up not going because of sickness We stayed with friends. Went by the Embassy and it was in a good area. It would of be a very good 3 star.
  18. We are arriving three days early for a cruise out of Vancover. We want to bid for three nigts starting on 9/19/08. Is it best to bid now or wait until July or August? Thx for reply's!
  19. Does anyone know if The Embassy Suites in San Rafael, CA is included in any of PriceLines three star clusters?
  20. This was the first time I have used PriceLine. Yesterday afternoon I bid on a 3 star hotel for 4/23 thru 4/26 in Santa Monica. My bid of $100 was not accepted. Today I tried again. I got a message of, "We were not able to process this request since our records indicate you have already made a request for this same trip" Does that mean if something comes up in the next week or so at that price, PriceLine will debit my card? How do I cancel that so I can call a hotel direct and do my own booking? That's for your replys.
