  2. Wanted a 2.5 star in Richmond, VA. started bidding with Glen Allen $30, rejected West End $30, rejected Innsbrook $30, rejected finally changed to a 2 star in the same areas and dropped the price to $25, accepted Final Price w/ Tax: $35.50 Overall a good price for a 2 star. Thanks to all those who post.
  3. Successfully bid the first time at $45. Reviews look promising and the rate is supposed to be $315 for that night. This is a great tool and resource to have when bidding. Thanks for the forum.
  4. I totally agree with you on the subject of resort fees. Thanks for the info on HOTWIRE. I haven't attempted that service yet. My pricelne experiences have gradually got worse and leave wondering what to do as an alternative. Thanks for the heads up.
  5. Bid $38 Bid $42 was accepted, I forgot to change the title. Oops. Courtyard by Marriott 3990 Sheraton Dr Macon, GA 31210 (478) 477-8899 Nice inexpensive hotel that is trying to update itself. Clean, fresh smelling rooms with free high speed internet. Onsite Washer and dryer that only cost a buck to use. Marriott provides free detergent and softener for laundry. Nice hot tub and workout room if you like that sort of thing. Room cards were used in getting in and out of the building. Only complaint is they didn't allow me to switch rooms to a king, even though the hotel was empty. Priceline customers sometimes get looked at differently when checking in. Unfortunately this happened to be one of them. Nice location for where I wanted to stay.
  6. Unfortunately, I don't remember my bid attempts for this hotel. I booked the Radisson at $52 per night without taxes and resort fees. My total with resort fees ended up being $201 or $67 per night. The hotel has a number of issues with security and upkeep. Outside locks are inoperable in both wings of the hotel. Priceline customers receive low end beds without the Select Comfort options. I ended up asking for a room change on account of the internet connection. This little request ended up scoring me a room with the Select comfort beds. I also got hammered with a resort fee of $8 per day. The list of things resort fees covered were a joke (Self Parking, Heated Pool, etc.). Overall, I'd never knowingly choose to stay with this resort.
