I am fine with this hotel--I just thought my research pointed to another property. Evidently, I need to go back to the drawing board when doing my research!
This hotel says it charges 18% per night per room regardless of how the room is booked. (Yikes!)
Thank you for the restaurant tip.

This is not the hotel I thought it was. I don't seem to have much luck figuring that out. Puerto Rico hotels seem to charge a lot of tax. This one seemed to charge less than most. The total was $156.72 +$23.22 to be charged at the hotel for a resort fee.
I used your HOTWIRE link.
I just bid on a 3.5 star - St. Louis Airport. I started at $55 and up popped an offer I had not seen before offering me 4 different hotels at reduced prices. Two were at the airport and two were in downtown St. Louis. They had the names of the hotels listed with the offers. They have a countdown clock that gives you 30 minutes to decide. I declined and then didn't see the offer again. I kept bidding and was accepted at $72 and the reservation is at the Hilton Airport. $72 plus $18.15 taxes and fees = $90.15. I used the board PRICELINE link. Thanks.
I was bidding on a St. Louis Airport hotel--3.5 stars. I didn't have any luck, but I have been bidding for a week and St. Charles -St. Peters was always a free bid for a 3.5 star. Suddenly today, they have a 3.5 star listed there. I didn't know if this is something I should report or not. If not, just delete this post. Thanks for your site. I always use the board PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links.

As always, I used the HOTWIRE link. Tax and fees are $18.71. Total $84.71
I used your PRICELINE link and started at $55 and they accepted it.
Room: $55.00
Taxes and Fees: $16.51
Total: $71.51
Thank you so much. I figured if they would take $67, they might take less, so I bid through your link on priceline for a 3.5*. I started at $55 and they accepted it. I was bummed that I didn't start lower (some bargain hunters are never satisfied). It was the Hilton Airport. I will post it on the priceline side.
FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Airport shuttle, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby This is the list copied from your instructions. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

I had been bidding on Price.line going all the way to $275 on a 4* FW with no luck. I was about to bid again when I looked on Hot.wire and found this deal. I haven't read the reviews of this hotel yet, but pricewise it sure beats the $335 (3.5*) per night I had reserved.
Total for three nights is $684 + $147.74 taxes and fee = $831.74
The amenities are:
Free Internet
Restaurant
Internet Access
Fitness Center
Business Center
Pool(s)
Self Service Laundry
I used the HOTWIRE link. Thanks for a great website.
I really appreciate your help on this. I was just about to bid again when I looked on Hotwire and they had a FW 3.5* room for $228. I jumped on it. I will post on the Hot.wire section. I used the link. Thanks again.
My companion wants to stay in either FW or Fin/Emb. area. I bid on a 4* there again today with $255 bid for FW added Fin/EMB with $265 bid and used Civic Center South as a free bid and upped the bid to $275--with no luck. It may be unrealistic, but I want to try bidding again tomorrow. Thanks. I used the link.
I'm sorry I forgot to include my backup reservation price. It is $335 per night. I would be fine with Union Square, but my traveling companion prefers the Wharf or Financial/Embarcadero. I would like to spend no more than $275 per night.
I have a reservation at a 3.5* Wharf hotel. When I made the reservation six weeks ago, I never dreamed I might have to keep it. I really don't know why the hotels rates are so high during my stay. I bid $235 for a 4* Wharf hotel. I then increased my bid to $245 and added Financial/Embarcadero because I would be willing to stay in that district as well. I then added a Civic Center South as a free bid and upped my bid to $255--all with no luck. I knew my bid was low, but I would hate to bid a lot higher and then get a room with one small bed. What do you think is a realistic bid for my stay. I used the link. Thanks.
I bid again today for these dates. I started at $55 and went to $67 with no luck. I already have a reservation that is a good deal and includes breakfast and free parking, so I don't want to go much higher and risk being farther away than my current reservation. Thanks for your input.
I would like to pay $75 or less. That may not be realistic because there is a ballgame one night of my stay. I will try again soon and will report any progress. Thanks.
I started at $55--used 11 free rebids up to $66. It is early so I didn't go very high. I used the PRICELINE link.
Hilton at the Ballpark-one night-10/17/13 The amenities for this property are: 1. Pet friendly 2. Restaurant 3. Indoor pool 4. Business center 5. Fitness center 6. Internet access 7. Pool 8. Children's activities The total with tax and fee is $78.61 I used the Betterbidding HOTWIRE link.
Ideally, I would like to not spend more than about $65. I don't want to spend a great deal because I might very well get the Doubletree at Union Station and I like it much less than the other possible hotels. I have a backup reservation in case I am not ultimately successful. My reservation is more expensive but with cancellation privileges up until the day of stay.
Failed bid. I started at $42. Used all the free bid zones to go to $60. I know this is low, but I have time to bid again and I am hoping for a good deal. I used the PRICELINE link and will again.
