Glad to help if I can. I have noticed that Hotwire will change the star rating on properties and agree that this is probably the case with LIVE AQUA. Hopefully someone will report a win for this hotel soon so we know for sure if it has been upgraded to 5 stars. BTW, I also noticed that the Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort in Cancun needs to be corrected in your Hotwire Hotel list. It should be listed in the North Hotel zone and not the Downtown Cancun area. I won this property earlier this year and reported it to the board so I still remember the details. This hotel happens to be located right next door to Live Aqua so I can personally confirm that both properties are in the same area (and both resorts are beautiful!). :)

It looks as if there is an error in the Better Bidding Hotwire Hotel Listing for Cancun. The LIVE AQUA All-Inclusive ADULTS ONLY Resort is currently listed in the South Hotel Zone, when it should be listed in the North Hotel Zone. When you compare the listing description in this thread to the listing description in an earlier thread from March 2013 here Hotwire Cancun they are identical except for the star rating. The listing in March that was mistaken for the Le Blanc Resort was actually the LIVE AQUA and it was listed in the NORTH hotel zone, not the SOUTH. I just checked HOTWIRE and the dates in February 2014 that this poster is seeking info for, and the 5 Star All-Inclusive North Hotel listing states it is Adults Exclusive. I don't know what it going on with the star rating and if HOTWIRE has made a mistake or changed something, but based on all the other info that is virtually identical, I suspect this North Hotel property is the LIVE AQUA Adults Only Resort.

I will post my results in USD in the future. Out of curiosity I decided to select USD in Hotwires drop down menu and see that the prices of all properties are on par between Canada and the US right now. This can change at any time but for the sake of this posting, I want people to know that the rate of $100.52 was the same price in both USD & CAD. Another thing worth noting is that this property listing has been fluctuating in price from one day to the next.

No, I don't know if this resort was previously a non-adults only, it's very possible it was. Well, sad news this morning, my vacation request was denied {sigh} so I won't be traveling in December or purchasing this deal. Thanks so much for your help BB! I appreciate it.

The amenities look very similar to Gran Bahia Principe Ambar though they are not identical. I thought it was very odd that the amenities included "children's activities" for the Gran Bahia Principe Ambar when this resort is for Adults Only. I wonder if the specs have been changed as this detail is very misleading.

Within the last couple of hours my brother-in-law just booked the exact same amenities for a 4* property in Vancouver (Downtown West) and it was the Westin Bayshore. Hope this helps you with your decision. He received an excellent deal for his dates and saved a lot of money for this beautiful hotel. :)

When I checked the Westin website it lists everything mentioned above except for Tennis nearby. The website lists Golf nearby instead. Thanks so much for the suggestions. I've never stayed at the Hilton Financial District and only read reviews about it on TripAdvisor. If the Hotwire rate was closer to $100 I'd be willing to give it a try. However, I don't think the Hilton FD is that great of a deal for $166, so have decided to pass.

First bid ever using Priceline (still wiping brow from so much concentration!!). Began bidding at $55 and increased bids by $3 with each additional zone added...accepted at $68. Hyatt Vinyard Creek Hotel 170 Railroad Street Santa Rosa, CA 707-636-7100 Saturday, January 20th, 2007 1 nite @ $68 + taxes and service fees $15.09 = $83.09 Rack rate on the Hyatt website for this nite was listed as $155 for this property.

Hi - I have just began to use PriceLine and Hotwire and need some help identifying a recent Hotwire find for a 4* Hotel in the Embarcadero Area for $166 (Jan 21-24, '07) that has the following amenities: -Fitness Centre -Business Centre -Restaurant(s) -High-Speed Internet Access -Spa The retail price indicated for this property is listed as $299, so $166/nite would net a 44% discount. I am having a very difficult time finding any 4* deals under $200/nite for the dates listed above...and I do not feel confident enough to tackle PriceLine for this area at this time. Any idea as to the possible name of this hotel? Thanks everyone!
