Very difficult bidding in the Florida area this time of year. Tried multible bids for 3 1/2 star hotels up to $150.00 per night with no luck. Decided to lower my request to 3 star hotels and started over. Still tricky but I finally got the Western. The hotel site had rooms for $135. So this is not a great win, but a win is a win. Started wilth Priceline link on this website. Worked up to 85.00 dollar bid which was accepted. Good price for this property. As an FYI there is a 17.00 dollar a day self parking fee at this property, 20.00 for valet. It is a little distance from Downtown, even though it is advertised as a downtown hotel. They advereise a free shuttle to Beale street and to local attractions.

Started with Priceline link on this site. Started with 80 dollar bid for a 4 star hotel in Tampa 04/05- 04/08. Because of many rebids in this area, worked up to 125. All bids rejected. Waited 24 hours and bid again. Started with 125 again and this time it was accepted. Have no reason why. Got the Westin Tampa Harbor Island. Note: there is a 17 dollar self park and 20 dollar valet park charge at this property. Any ideas on why the same bid was rejected one day and accepted the next?

:) Started with HOTWIRE link. for a one night stay at Heathrow Arpt. 09/04/11-09/05/11. Took a 4star hotel for 52.00us Turned out to be the Holiday Inn M4, Jct4 Sipson Road Totals:Room 52.00 Taxes and Fees 16.61 Total 68.61

No resort fee charged. Place seemed well maintained. Very large grounds with beautiful pool area. Was only there one night, so I cant tell you much about the place. There were plenty of places to dine nearby. Let me know if I can answer any more of your questions.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Just got back from Fl. Yes we got a lower floor room, not the tower. The room faced the canal and was clean and large. After the win, I called the Hyatt and requested a king room, non smoking. I got it without a problem. I was not offered a choice between rooms. Hope this helps.

FL. Marriott by Courtyard, West Palm Beach 1800 Centre Park Drive East 1/19/11-1/23/11 I bid on a 3* hotel and was awarded this one. The hotel is located in an industrial park off the beaten track. There is nothing near by, just other offices. No views or attractions. The hotel itself was clean, with a small front lobby. Shuttle service was available to airport. I requested a non-smoking king room but was given a room with twin queens. Hotel said they were full and no king was available? They had our reservation when we arrived and except for the room part, all went smoothly. The room itself was ample, clean and everything worked The hotel provided free wifi in our room, a nice touch. They also had a room available in the main lobby with free internet and a printer. The hotel offered breakfast, buffet . I am not sure if they offered a la carte? There was also a pool (did not see anyone in it) an exercise room (very small). All in all it was a pleasant experience, there are nicer 3* hotels in the area, and in my opinion, this should be a 2 1/2. But for the money it was OK.
