  1. Planning a weekend trip for an engagement party. Need 4 Rooms. Original budget was $150 for 3 star in the Mid-town area, realized that was not going to happen, included Financial District, and realized it would likely take up to $200/nite. $200 is out of my budget, so I will start looking in Jersey or near LGA. I was bidding using the betterbidding PRICELINE link.
  2. Title Should Read: Help Identifying 4-Star Hotel in Times Square Fitness Center Business Center Internet Access $384 Thanks. Hotels are crazy expensive that weekend in New York
  3. If you need to add more nights, Priceline also offers the service of adding more nights. This feature can be accessed through their "Customer Service" Link located on the Acceptance page underneath the "Reservation and Billing Information", once in the "Customer Service" page you can click the "Can I add nights to my hotel reservation?" link, this link will allow you to add more nights to your reservation if there is availability.
  4. First bid was accepted at $46. Bid for a friend who has a Med School interview the next morning. Location seems very convinent as it is located directly within Union Station.
  5. Courtyard By Marriott Toronto Downtown Downtown Toronto 475 Yonge Street Toronto, Ontario M4Y 1X7 416-924-0611 Pretty expensive for the Courtyard. Bidding details: 1st Bid: $35 2nd Bid: $38 3rd Bid: $40 New Bid: $42 2nd Bid: $45 3rd Bid: $50
  6. Renaissance Marriott Fallsview Niagara Falls 6455 Fallsview Boulevard Niagara Falls, Ontario L2G 3V9 905-357-5200 1st Bid: $58 2nd Bid: $64 I had also tried bididng for 3* and 2.5* properties as well: 3* 1st Bid: $45 2nd Bid: $50 2.5* 1st Bid: $45
  7. Would have liked to wait a little longer before going this high, but those travelling wanted to confirm something right away. Started bidding at $150. Made numerous bids and different date and room combinations, but nothing was accepted till I bid $210. Previous rejected bid was $205. Still represents a considerable savings over the $259 rate offered on their website.
  8. Started bidding at $99 and made incremental bids up to $135. I think the previous low bid was $130. Rates were showing $169 on Venetian website.
  9. Hotel Name: De La Ville Intercontinental Roma Via Sistina 67 69 Rome, Italy 390667331 1st Bid: $190 2nd Bid: $200 3rd Bid: $206 4th Bid: $210 Booked this for a friend. Rates on website site were about $450US, so 50% off normal rates.
  10. I like the Circus Circus over the Boardwalk as I can cancel the Circus Circus while with Hotwire i'm pretty much stuck. I am thinking there is a lot of the inventory that the convention is holding, they will release closer to the date of the show if they any extra rooms, and hopefully at that point prices will come down a bit and maybe i'll have some luck with Priceline.
  11. Thanks for the feedback. Coincidentally, I had already booked this 3 star "Off the Record Property" at ECT last week not knowing it was the Circus Circus. Once I booked and realized it was the Circus Circus, I cringed and immediately thought of refunding it once the exchange rate improved a bit and I could make back the foriegn exchange fees on the credit card transaction. But if you think that $150 must not be a reasonable offer, I might just hold on to it for the sake of having a backup. I love the fact that you can get a full refund with ECT. Since my cousin and I are attending the conference at the Convention Centre and are on somewhat of a budget we wouldn't mind staying in the Convention Centre area if it might translate into considerable savings. We wouldn't mind going down to a 2.5* in the Convention Centre zone as they all seem like decent non-casino type hotels (excluding the LV Hilton).
  12. I'll be heading down with my cousin from March 14th - March 18. It's a super busy week in Vegas during this time. March 13th is the Nascar race, March 15 - 19 is the CONEXPO convention with an expected attendence of 135,000 people, and March 17th is the start of the NCAA Basketball tournament. We're looking at either 4* or 5* on the strip. I have a budget of about $150 US per night, which may seem out of line at the moment. Current rates: 5* Venetian 429/429/429/429 Bellagio No Rooms Available 4* MGM No Rooms Available Bally's No Rooms Available Treasure Island 299/299/299/299 Westin 399/399/399/399 Aladdin 299/299/499/499 New York New York 229/339/429/429 I am really to start bidding immediately. Thanks!

  15. Friend needed 3 rooms for the final night. First bid at $61 accepted for the Murray Hill East Suite Hotel. Thanks. I have stayed there once before in October of 2003. Impressed with the size of the rooms for NYC standards and my room also included a kitchenette which was an added bonus.

  20. I started to bid again. I am bidding for one room this time just to get an idea of what is available. At $90, they offered me to raise it $22 for another chance. I haven't gone ahead and bid again but this is telling me that something should be accepted in the $100 range.
  21. Thanks for the suggestion, I will pass the info along to the person I was bidding for.
  22. The user may want to try EasyClickTravel.Com, they currently have the Thirty-Thirty Hotel (3*) on request for $99. I am not sure how lucky your chances are on getting this rate, but its worth the try. If the user wants to confirm something right away they have a 2.5* property for $289 per night. The link above is one that supports betterbidding.
  23. As I back up, I have booked through www.lastminutetravel.com. They were offering the Novotel Downtown for $99 US per night (with taxes $111.40). I booked 3 rooms at this rate. They allow me to cancel the reservation 72 hours prior to check-in without any penalty. I was wondering if beterbidding has a referral link we could use for this site.
  24. These hotels are all for friends who plan to be partying downtown on New Years, so I don't think they'll be in any position to go anywhere else... :) But if someone just wants to spend a night out on New Years, I will recommend the Renaissance in a second for $36. Thanks.
