I tried buying this exact same thing last night, but for 5/2-5/3 and it kept failing when I went to pay saying something about inventory invalid. I ended up at the Adam's Mark for just $46. I'll be curious if it worked for you

This is a weekend that the Cubs are in town, so hotels will be selling out for sure. Requested 3* Downtown. First bid was accepted for $46 @ the Adam's Mark. We stayed here last year when the Cubs came into town the first time and paid $65 through Priceline. Hotwire's cheapest downtown was a 3* for $63.

$60 for the first Friday night when the Cubs are in town. Cheapest rate I saw anywhere else was $179 (AAA rate).
