  1. HOTWIRE 19527 Aurora Ave N (Hwy 99), Seattle, WA, 98133 (206) 542-6300 Breakfast, Internet, Golf 49.00 11.34 tax --------- 60.34 TOTAL Was totally expecting La Quinta Lynnwood and was completely thrown off, but this fits my needs for tonight and am very happy with it! Especially the breakfast. I am VERY VERY weary of purchasing 2* because of Extended Stay, I wish they would make that a 1 or 1.5* hotel :)
  2. PRICELINE Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $49.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $49.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $14.43 (USD) Total Room Cost: $63.43 (USD) Bid $46, added Bothell and bid $49, accepted. Must be a slow night (usually at least 55-60 on weekends)..hopefully the front desk guy I know will be there tonight for an opportunity to get an upgrade
  3. HOTWIRE Didn't see it on the hotwire hotel list, I've stayed here before, good hotel, and they have cookies at check-in On my way down to the Oregon coast, Seaside OR and Cannon Beach, leaving tomorrow morning so staying in Federal Way for tonight. Amenities shown: Complimentary Breakfast Pool(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access
  4. I DIDN'T RECEIVE ANY COOKIES---oh they're going to get it next time I win....lol
  5. If I purchased the $5 insurance, would I have been able to 100% refund this??
  6. PRICELINE Couldn't be more disappointed and ticked off right now. Should've taken it as a sign of an impossible date, started the bidding at 36 or 37 and nothing til $53--in the future I think I'll stop my bidding at 50, hopefully that will keep me from getting this hotel ever again. I kept going because I figured it'd definitely give me Doubletree Southcenter IF NOT then at least Courtyard marriott...heck, I'd have even taken Holiday Inn Renton. But it spat out H.I. KENT? KENT? REALLY? That's a 1st. An UNWELCOME one at that. This is much farther south than I wanted to stay, let alone, doesn't have much to offer to make it worth staying. Indoor pool and I would not have any complaints right now, but of course it's outdoor. Thinking about calling them to see how much they want from me to upgrade to a jacuzzi room, if avail. I do see that at least this H.I. gives a complimentary breakfast whereas Renton does not, but big whoop, I am tired of the same hot breakfast buffets. Always eggs, sausage, bacon, waffle. Over and over and over. Anyway, oh well, chalk it up to experience.
  7. PRICELINE Completely threw me off when I saw this one come up..it's either Holiday Inn Renton or Courtyard Marriott Seatac/Southcenter time after time. After staying there, am EXTREMELY pleased with this, and now hope this comes up EVERY time when I bid Renton/Kent. Will be bidding again for tomorrow night's stay shortly and will post those results. I think it was a sold out night, I called in prior to check-in to request a 1 king, she said only smoking I said fine. I get there maybe 30 minutes later, check in, go into my room, and I first notice the No Smoking sign, then go into the suite, it's 2 DOUBLES. Smallest beds EVER. I go back downstairs, "Oh i'm sorry it's already taken." How the #$&% is it taken when you told me yourself you just locked me into it? Regardless, she gave me a free coupon for breakfast buffet and offered a movie. NICE. Made out like bandits, watched "I Love You, Man", used the pool (WOW other hotels PLEASE LEARN something....they close the pool at 12!), lifted some weights. Sauna was out of order :) Love love love this hotel for $40ish in Renton, I hope to never get Holiday Inn Renton ever again, and I'd take Courtyard since they have indoor pool too. For those of you that are vets...is this a summer thing where Doubletree uses priceline?
  8. PRICELINE I should've posted immediately after...I don't remember if I started bidding at $32, then re-bid $34 or just started at $34. Either way .. I guess it's a deal, but I plan on avoiding 2* bids in zones that are prone to giving you Extended Stay. The bed is just WAY TOO HARD.
  9. PRICELINE Started out at $54 Counteroffer to increase $15 .. DENY (love it when it's only $7, you know you're close) Re-bid $56, then $58 .. ACCEPTED. (This is why I NEVER accept counteroffer, you usually win after 1-2 rebids) This will be my 1st stay here, reviews are looking pretty good. Hopefully the bed + free breakfast will make up for the $24 extra I'm spending on this versus 2* extended stay. I'm sure it will...my back still hurts from staying at extended stay last night. I wish Federal way area were more like Renton-Kent for 3* .. I've won Courtyard Marriott Renton and Holiday Inn Renton for around 40-45. I would think there would be better deals in Federal Way since it's not as busy as Renton/Southcenter area.
  10. oh i guess you're right priceline does have it as 2*. i suppose it's hotwire that has it as 2.5* which i personally thinks makes more sense because the deluxe IS an upgrade from the regular. i just stayed at extended stay federal way last night and my back is still sore. i still hate extended stay (except the deluxe), the bed is way too hard to justify even a 30-40 dollar bid.
  11. PRICELINE Started out with Everett zone, 2 star, $37 Rejected, added North Everett, $39, ACCEPTED, with an upgrade to 2.5*! Room Subtotal: $39.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $12.95 (USD) Total Room Cost: $51.95 (USD) Was VERY weary...I've blacklisted Extended Stay because of their horrible beds (I'm sore and have back pain after sleeping there). Walked into the room, overall looks nicer and more modern, and more cozy than the standard cookie-cutter Extended Stay. The bed was FLUFFY, it was great. Continental breakfast so I grabbed a yogurt and a couple banana nut muffins on my way out to work. I see this as a new VERY affordable option.
  12. PRICELINE Started at $49, with 3.5* and UW/Northgate selected went up $2 increments, accepted it (to my surprise) at $59 This will be my 1st stay here...went to their website and saw that it was the exact same design as Edgewater's website. I guess it's another Noble or Noblehouse hotel... I don't like Edgewater much (just having to pay extra for everything, no free parking/internet, etc. etc.) but hopefully it will turn out to be a nice experience. The website says free parking & wifi, let's see if they hold up to it--I saw some reviews online saying they were charged anywhere from 5-10 for parking. Anyone stay here? Any tips or things I should know? I'm pretty familiar with the area, thinking about heading down to the Ivar's restaurant on the water for happy hour if it's nice later on
  13. Oops, thought I had put the amenities. Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness, Pool, Business, Laundry, Internet Definitely go for 1 King bed if possible, much more comfortable bed than the 2 Queens, and room also has a sofa, coffee table, microwave, mini fridge. The 2 Queen room does not have sofa, table, microwave, fridge, etc. Breakfast is not bad, cheesy omelettes, bacon, sausage patties, yogurt, biscuits & gravy, etc. I guess Holiday Inn has a new "standardized" program for breakfast and other amenities. Overall a good stay and good value on HOTWIRE! Free wifi, free parking.
  14. Used the HOTWIRE link Checked the Hotwire Hotel list, didn't see it, but figured it'd be Holiday Inn Express based on looking at other 3* with same amenities. This will be my 1st stay here.
  15. it's a very nice place, have stayed here twice now. in a great area in prime downtown bellevue, literally across the street from the famous bellevue square mall. downtown bellevue has expanded a LOT over the years. one very cool thing is that this building is connected to lincoln square via underground tunnel from the parking garage, as well as a walkway bridge. lincoln square offers various stores, a movie theater, upscale bowling, as well as the parlor billiards & lounge (try parlor for happy hour!) i'd pay $75 any time for a stay here (paid $69 on my 1st visit and $65 on my 2nd) free parking is a major bonus when compared to staying in in seattle, especially downtown seattle also mentionable is that both times i've stayed here i was never given a call with a reminder to check out nor was i constantly knocked on by housekeeping. very nice! try calling in ahead of time and requesting a room on a high level as well as one facing either south or west to get a view of mt rainier, downtown seattle, and/or lake washington. i believe their top 3 floors, 21, 22, and 23 are executive level. (i was given floor 19 facing south last visit!)
  16. Your Offer Price: $120.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $120.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $25.75 Total Charges*: $145.75 Got this one back on 12/22 I think I started bidding around 80 or 90, went up 5-10 increments Checked the hotel website and rooms start at $219 so I saved at least $100 :)
