Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like Riverside Hotel is now at a 3 star rating?
what would have been a better bidding stratedgy in this case? my concern was that its a friday night, after thanksgiving - does that play a role in pricing on priceline? last year, i got hilton ny for $125 - but that was for a sunday night.
I had gone up to $189 for 4* and 3* daily for a couple weeks, until yesterday. Once I dropped from 4* to 3*, my first offer of $169 was accepted. I probably should have started lower for the 3*. I was only bidding on UM and MTW.
Had been trying, up to $189 for 3 star MTW, Park South with no luck - until yesterday, $169 was accepted immediately. Mixed reviews of hotel - but for this price and location, I don't think I'll have any complaints.

I cannot confirm, although based on the description and amenities, it very well may be. I too am trying to get into Riverside Hotel for my stay in Nov. As a side not, if you've never stayed there - I've stayed several times; it's a great hotel, great staff, very clean and in great location.
If you do try to book, I hope you'll post back here.
Good luck!
