Only Bid
Looks like a new hotel for PL
Website looks rather interesting....
Hope to post back with a review
Bid 49 for 2.5* in SSF
was countered with add 14-needed to be in this area so accepted
stay for 1 night-same day bid
Bid 55 2.5* SD/Del Mar
Upgraded(boooo) to 3* Doubletree at $55/night
Only bid, same day
you are correct.
Was growing tired of the Marriott-see other posts
Need to be in this area, not much to rebid on.
First bid was 2.5* Pleasanton/San Ramon at $38 for 8/29-9/1-Rejected
Changed Dates to 8/29-8/31 raised price to $42- Accepted
Was $47 your first bid, or did you "work your way up" to $47?
first and only bid
1 night, same day bid.
As an FYI
This property can be had for ~$53/night+tax on the weekends using *wood's site. The buy 2 get 3rd night free promo-Of which I'm taking advantage of(gotta get a few more points/stay credits)
1st night, using Marriott.com rate for Visa Bonus Bucks was in room 674. Concerige Floor.Smoking(preference) Double with small balcony(no chairs).
Was told when I checked out for that stay and was checking in for the 4 night PL stay, referenced here, that the entire 6th Floor was booked for a group.
Moved to 2nd Floor, Non Smoking but with a huge balcony(Front desk said it's an upgrade)with table and 3 Chairs. Was given access to concerige floor(free breakfast).
The 6th floor room had a Robe, Mouthwash, cottonballs, swaps, and better toilet paper(wierd-maybe they switched brands, wish I had taken with me though). The 2nd floor room had/has none of the above mentioned.
I will say that this place does NOT seem to have it's act together, confussion reigns. Restrrant is slow, front desk personel can't doing anything without running to the back, just not hitting on all cylinders. And you throw in a couple weddings and it gets worse.
Damn, listen to me complain...
a good deal at 47, that's all that should matter, right? Right?

Only Bid
Be there tonight on the Visa Bonus Bucks promo rate. Will also be my first stay as a Plat.
Wonder if I get a REALLY nice room, if they'll let me keep it for the 4 PL nights, hmmmmm?
Four Comfort Beds are in all rooms now :)
Only Bid
3 nights
Maybe they'll have the new beds in
Went back and looked at winning bid
Had actually bid 2.5*, upgraded to winning 3* at this price
In addition rebid this at a 3* for night of 7/7 at $47 and was successful
Same Day
Only Bid.
for 1 night
bid 47 same day for 2.5*
won at 47 and upgraded to a 3* for 1 night
Rinse , lather, repeat
used same price for an additional night 6/29
only bid Newark/fremont zone though
You are correct on the address
Started at 2.5* Milpitas at 38-rejected
added Newark Fremont at 45-accepted
Same day bid
Staying here, tonight. PL bid of 59. No mention at check in. Did ask for a picture ID
Parking is now 22/night-Sef and Valet are the same. Choose to park on the road coming in, as mentioned it is a hike but valets have no problem watching your car while you get checked in(my guess is that sometime in the ver near future the driveway becomes a no parking zone.)
Staying in King smoking, room is typical Marriott. Partial Ocen View-looking at the layout it appears most are. Room is clean-couple burn marks on carpet. There is a mini-bar, usual MB type prices. Does have a nice size balcony. Bath amenities are Neutragena with the added bonus of some bath gel. HSIA is 9.95-didn't use.
One of the pools is closed, front desk was not sure for how much longer. And, the coffee shop is undergoing renovations(probably being converted to a Starbucks)
Hard to go wrong with the price I paid, Marriott's website says 234/night for the room.
Time to go find a cold beverage
1 night
3 bids
Started at 52 for 2.5* for Fountain Valley
added Newport/Huntington Beach, raised to 55
added Dana Point, raised to 59-Accepted
Only Bid
I hosed this one and selected the wrong zone, meant to choose LAX/MB.
Oh well......
free HSIA anyhow
First bid was 95
PL countered with add 22-I took it as I wanted to be in this area
See if it's any better than when it was a 4points.
2.5* Orange County(Newport-Huntington Beach) Best Western Newport Bch
in Priceline Hotels - ORANGE COUNTY
Posted
First bid was
2.5 * Fountain Valley area at 69
then added Newport\Huntington Beach Area at 75
Accepted at 75
This appears to be a new hotel for this area. PL calls it a 2.5 star
not expecting much.....
This is for the Best Western Newport Beach Inn
(and a late post)(place was\is not anything to write home about)
