Got 4* in Forsyth Park Zone for $120. B Historic Savannah. HOTWIRE suggested that the last guest had gotten this hotel so took a chance. 3/1 -3/2. Used the Hotwire Coupon from Betterbidding to save an additional $15. Great deal. There appears to be some discrepancy as to whether B Historic is a 4* or not. Several other sites...Priceline, Hotel.com, Booking.com, Tripadvisor vary from 3* to 3.5* to 4*. Not sure I've every seen such variance amongst the main booking sites. Guess things are in flux at the hotel. Either way, it's exactly where I needed it to be and good price point. Was hoping for the Arlington Hyatt due to access to Metro. Not disappointed by any stretch but surprised given the Hyatt's showing up on recent PL purchases and availability on Hotwire. Started at $70 for 4* in Arlington, worked my way through the other DC area regions with no 4* for Oct 28 and 29, no luck. Finally added a third nite Oct 30 and hit on $90/nt. USed the BB PRICELINE link.

Interesting, but I used a suggestion in another post and added 4 adults to the same search. Ended up with a "new" 4* option at the same price $185/nt, but this time the amenities showed as: Smoke Free, Fitness Ctr, Pool, Rest, Biz Center, High Speed Net >>>> These match those on the list for the Westin Also, after the new search, Trip Advisor detail showed that matched TA's Westin listing. SO... got 4* Westin Gateway in Arlington, VA Wed 5/6 - Sat 5/9 for $185/nt. Thanks as always.

Also had a shot at what I'm sure was Madison Loews (DC-Dupont/Embassy) for $142 for the same stay. Based on bid/stay at Madison last week this is a great hotel. But Westin is across the street from my office, so save lots of METRO time.

Went through your HOTWIRE link, searched, got 5 hotels in the Dupont Circle area. Listed same amenities as before, but at $149 rather than $156. Took the plunge and got the Loews Madison as you guessed for $149. Definately was hoping for the Madera!!!! :) Although it doesnt appear to have been listed in Better Bidding's amenities, Madera does offer in-room spa services per their website. Immediately re-did search and got the $156 price option again. Wondering if this is for Madera. Seems odd for the fluctuation in price options like that. Probably just picked the wrong 4*.
