  1. Hotel Omni Mont Royal Started at $70, then went up $75, $80, $85, $90 Please clean up the format. I used the betterbidding PRICELINE links. Thanks!
  2. Hi, I was trying for that $125 rate, but ended up at $155 for a single night Saturday 3/10. I won the bid this evening (4 days prior to reservation date). I started at $125 MTW 4* and then kept adding other zones jumping about $10 each bid until I won it at $155. I used the savings barn links.
  3. We need a hotel room for this Saturday night (March 10). We have two young children that will be traveling with us (2 adults, 2 children). I have a back-up reservation at the Jersey City Marriott courtyard at $179 that can be cancelled up to the same day of reservation. In the past we got the double tree in Jersey City at $90/night. Over the past few weeks I have been repeatedly bidding for a 3* in Jersey City with no luck up to $100 (all through the savings barn links) and this week have been trying 4* in NYC up to the $140 range with no luck I would consider dropping down to a NYC 3* (not a strong preference on zone, although time square would be great) but my concern is that we might end up with a hotel that has very small rooms (e.g. Paramount). We really need two double beds and/or a double with a pull out couch. Ultimately my strategy is to start bidding up to the $179 rate for a 4* in NYC and then try the Jersey City hotels up to that rate. Questions: 1. Is there any strategy that lets me drop the NYC bidding down to 3* but would still allow me to get a room that was big enough for the four of us? 2. Is there a risk that an NYC 4* would be too small of a room for two kids? 3. Any other feedback?
  4. Thanks, can someone make a recomendation on parking and does the ferry run on the weekends (Saturday/Sunday).
  5. Hi I am not sure how to update this thread with a result, but after reserving a back-up room at the Marriott Court Yard Jersey City for $174 (no cancelation penalty made directly through the Marriott web site) I finally won the Double Tree Jersey City for $90 for the night of Saturday Nov. 18. I had been trying since my original post bidding everywhere from $75 up to $110 with no luck until this past Tuesday. I did not try any lower bid just put in the $90 and it was acccepted. I used the Savings Barn link. Thanks . . my first time using Price Line (will not be the last!)
  6. Just an update on this, I reserved a back-up room at the Jersey City Marriott Courtyard for $174 that can be canceled up until the day of check-in. I have repeatedly tried bidding in the $80 to $90 range for 3 star and 2.5 star hotels in Jersey City with no luck (I think one time I tried up to $110). I will Continue to try in this range up until our trip. (We are now just looking for something the night of the 18th). This is for a trip to NYC so would consider Manhattan as well but I believe the prices will be higher there. I'll let you know what happens. (I have used the savings barn links).
  7. I have no idea of its realistic, but ideally would like to keep the bid under $100, will go to $150 but may consider dropping it to one night instead of two.
  8. Hi -- I am looking for bidding help on a hotel room in Jersey City for the 17th (Friday) and 18th (Saturday) in November. I would prefer to stay in the Double Tree or Hyatt but would consider a 2.5 or even a 2 star if the price differentail was substantial. Thanks
