well I've procrastinated and haven't booked a place yet but see the 4.5* Madison Square Garden PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $213 (Free Internet, Bed Choice, Business Center, Fitness Center, Non Smoking, Pets Allowed) and I am assuming that its the Crown Plaza HY36? What are your thoughts?

Thanks, that's the one I was referring to for $178. Whats going on that makes this high season? Also other sites I look at show NYC to be 32% booked (booking.com & Trivago) do you think I should wait since availability is high maybe prices will come down? Also what are the chances of bidding in SoHo/Tribeca (or similar place and star rating) at a lower price than the $178 express deal?

Looking for 2 rooms for 2 couples 11/10 to 11/15. I like the looks of SoHo/Tribeca but we are open to anywhere except times square. 4* or higher hoping to stay at $150/night. primary concern is close to subway and a trendy boutique hotel, we would like to stay away from big chain hotels such as holiday inn/Hilton etc. I like the looks of the Roxy and saw a express deal for $174 in SoHo/Tribeca do you think that may be the one?
