We are open to staying in any zone - since we have a car, I would think commuting will not be an issue. Not sure how parking would be near major attractions, but we should be able to manage.

We were planning a stay in Montreal from 09/01 - 09/03 (2 adults with a kid). There seem to be a lot of local hotels with mixed reviews. 

Can someone suggest a good hotel for about $100 per day budget. We will have a rental car, so parking would be nice. Also gives us flexibility to drive if needed.
