  1. Follow-up for my last post: I tried using another computer to book a Hot Rate through your site - it still didn't go through. When I came back to my laptop, the booking page I had left had a message that said it had timed out and so I clicked a link it had to start over. This time the booking went through, and it looked a bit different than before so I am not sure your site was involved. I am very sorry if not though I tried many times before it was successful this last time. The $40.00 deal is for Travelodge (I was fairly sure it was the Travelodge and for 40, I was willing to risk it). I am happy enough with it, it's close to Disneyland and doesn't get the worst rating for a hotel near the parks. Crossing my fingers it is safe and clean.
  2. I reconsidered location. I thought I'd see if there was anything closer to Disneyland so I don't have to rent a car and pay for parking. I found a Hotwire Hot Rate for 40 near the convention center. I have tried booking it 3 times and it doesn't seem to go through. I am not getting any message that I entered any info in the wrong way - I am just returned to the same window/page. I have talked to hotwire CS 2 times and they assure me that I haven't booked a room but I can't figure out why my booking doesn't go through. Any thoughts? P.S. I did go through your site to book it:)
  3. Clicking through what you suggested, I see the full amenities (I've done that before but couldn't remember how this time around). Sounds like a good place for a good price - I'll consider it. Thanks!
  4. I am a "member" of hotels.com - it's free. You have to be a member I guess to see the discounted price.
  5. MAPSandHOTELS only search hotwire and priceline right? I promise, I looked at both of those a lot when I booked for my prior trip. I see for an upcoming trip through MAPSandHOTELS, that Travelodge on Harbor is listed for 71 but on hotels.com it is 65 a night - just an example. I'm not trying to be argumentative, but I spend hours trying to find the best value and that includes other sites too. So can I only book through your sites to get help on future blind hotels?
  6. I booked at the Clarion which is across the Toy Story parking lot in Anaheim. Besides being close to a free bus that takes one to Disneyland, it is cheap. I also find it quiet, clean and safe enough. They also have small fridges which is very important to me. It was around 60 or 65 a night without tax. I didn't have a car so I'm not sure if they charge for parking. It isn't my favorite hotel/motel in Anaheim but it does the job. I think I booked through hotels.com.
  7. I never used PRICELINE or HOTWIRE for this trip.
  8. How do you close threads? I tried before and don't see how to do it. Also, I never posted anything about Orlando.
  9. 2.5 star Garden Grove - Anaheim West August 13 to August 18 $59 per night Complimentary: Free breakfast Free Internet Free parking Amenities: Business center Fitness center Pool(s)Self-service laundry Smoke-free rooms Other: 80% recommended on hotwire (70 reviews) I looked on the hotel list on Better Bidding for this area but didn't see any 2.5 star hotels.
  10. Yes, I considered that yesterday, though I don't consider it a 5 minute walk to the park from Super 8.. I just learned that Disney cut off pedestrian access to the parking structure from Ball anyway. Thanks again.
  11. That's odd, I was going by this priceline page http://www.priceline.com/alamo-inn-and-suites-anaheim-california-ca-104031-hd.hotel-reviews-hotel-guides I wonder why the difference in what Priceline lists for the rating for Alamo. Guess I won't go for this deal - I don't want Alamo. Thanks for your help and saving me from potentially staying at Alamo.
  12. Thank you AaronJB, Yes. I am seeing those dates- those are the correct ones. Do you really think it could be Alamo given that the Express Deal has a 7+rating and Alamo only gets around a 5 on the Priceline website? If there was a chance it was Alamo, I wouldn't do it. I would really like the Super 8 on Disneyland Drive as I like the location (near Mickey and Friends). I am not very picky though - mostly just something clean with a decent staff and that is a quick trip to Disneyland. 55 a night is a great price and about all I am willing to spend without knowing what the hotel is. I really like staying at a hotel near one of the Disney Parking lots so we don't have to wait for the ART bus. If cheap enough, I would be willing to pay for uber to and from the parks. If the hotel was across the street, as in a 5 minute walk, I would go up to 75 a night. I would say that price, location and cleanliness are the most important. Thanks again!
