Thank you for the thoughtful reply! We decided to add a day onto our trip and stay until the 17th which should give us an opportunity to venture further from the city.. I think we’ll either do the zoo or the science mueseum. We thought it might be a neat experience to see the river green so we’ll do that before we fly out. The flights I booked have already gone up and I think room availability has changed too. I went ahead and booked the homewood suites on grand through the Hilton site (lowest price I could find). I’m going to keep checking Hotwire though to see if the price of the embassy in the same area drops before I have to cancel with Hilton. I’ll update if I do!

Is this a plausible strategy for sleuthing out the hot rate deals? I'm sorting hotels by class and then cross-referencing the listed reviews of the hot rate listings with hotels in the same area/class and then referring to the hotel lists here. It almost seems too simple?

Oh and budget wise, I'd like to keep the 3 nights under $600, and preferably closer to $500.

I'm going to check out the Allerton, there is a suite offered as an option which would be appealing. We can make a standard room work, but we have three kids- 7,5, and 1.5 so bigger is always better! I would love any insight you have to offer! We're planning on using public transit entirely so we don't have to bring car seats. On our to-see list is the Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Millennium Park/Maggie Daley park, and one of the observation decks. I'm thinking about buying the city pass ticket So I would say our 2 biggest priorities are location and size. On a superficial level though, I'd love a non-generic building... we're from Florida so most of our hotels are pretty standard buildings. I think my kids would be so wowed by a historic building!

I'm looking for a family friendly hotel in Chicago for 3/13-3/16. Right now I'm seeing a 4* with Pets Allowed Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Restaurant Bed choice available including an executive king suite for $126/night which is what I'm looking for. Thanks!

I'm jumping to another boat again (AKA I'm over thinking). I'm over on hotwire now for 6/28-6/30 3* bonnet creek area with the following: Free Internet, Resort, Airport shuttle, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Self-service laundry, Golf nearby, Children's activities So I was thinking one of the All Star's. But the price is $140, down from $351 but that seems awfully high.

There’s a 4.5 Star bonnet creek for $128 with the following: business center restaurant free internet indoor outdoor pool fitness center non smoking $31.50 resort fee Could that be the swan or dolphin?

I think the Swan will be a little more than I'd like to spend once I factor in the resort fee.

Looking to stay on site, we're semi-local so we already have a preferred off property spot. Budget is $150 or less.

We ended up not booking through PL. Stayed at Coronado Springs, not a big fan honestly.

Just an FYI, Disney doesn't offer free breakfast or charge resort fees. Hopefully that will help you in your future endeavors. :)

$107 for 5/13-5/14 Ammenities: Business Center Indoor/Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Mandatory Fee: $25. I'm hoping to jump on the Animal Kingdom lodge train, but the resort fee is making me think that isn't what I've found. But the amenities don't match any others on the list. Help!
