  1. Thank you both for your quick responses! I did see both those offers you have suggested and am waiting on a better deal (fingers crossed). Will keep checking and let you know if I find one! I want this to be an unforgettable first time to Vegas. But I also don't want to be selfish and put my husband in a room he won't get to enjoy as much with having to go out for a smoke often, it is his birthday after all. AaronJB, I booked the linq for $110/night with Expedia.
  2. Hi all! I am new here and hope this is the correct place for this post! Here is my situation, I have planned a surprise trip for my husbands 30th birthday from 4/28/17-4/30/17. This will be our first time to Vegas! I already booked The LINQ through Expedia with flight as a packaged deal. I can get a full refund on the hotel if I cancel before April 25th. Upon stumbling over this site (which has been super helpful in identifying hotels) I've decided I would prefer to stay in a 5* hotel in the northeast vicinity if the price is right. The Palazzo, Venetian or Encore would be amazing, but Wynn would be a good score too, although it is my last choice. Am I correct that these are the only 5 star hotels in the northeast region? The reason for these hotel choices, other than their luxurious suites, they all have smoking rooms. Otherwise, Aria or Cosmopolitan would be my first choice (if I could somehow get in my price range)! I am checking everyday to see if prices drop. I'm not looking to spend more than $160/night. Priceline sent me a promo code, which would have gotten me the Wynn at my price point, however that's not where I want to stay and with over a month to go before our trip, I'm hoping a better deal in my preferred hotel will come up. My promo code has since expiried. Does anyone know if Priceline or Hotwire send promo codes often via email? I've only gotten one in the past 2 weeks (when I signed up) from PL. As I've stated earlier, a smoking room is a must as my husband is an avid smoker. I noticed on PL, all their express deals list non smoking rooms in their amenities. Does this mean if I were to book with PL that it will always be a non smoking room? If that's the case, would the hotel accommodate my request for a smoking room? Hotwire lists the non smoking amenity only under hotels that don't allow smoking in any rooms. Would this mean HW would put us in a smoking or non? This will be my first time using PL or HW. I'm nervous we won't get a king smoking room. Those are the only must haves on my list. I know it's not guaranteed to get my requests, I'm just asking for advice or personal experiences. Would it be wiser to just stay with The LINQ where I've already booked a king smoking room? The LINQ seems nice, but I'm looking to relax and pamper myself while away. The LINQ reviews says it's loud and for younger crowds. That is okay too, I'm sure we will be doing enough partying ourselves on the trip, but it doesn't seem like a place for some r&r. Any words of wisdom, suggestions, or personal experience would be greatly appreciated! I'm not one to gamble, so I want to try and make the safest bet in this circumstance.
