Thank you so much for all of your help! I did not succeed in getting a 5-star hotel, but I got a room at The Premier Hotel Times Square (a 4.5-star hotel) after bidding $245, which is fine with me because it means I spent less than was I was actually expecting to spend!

I would like to go ahead and try bidding. Yes, Times Square is the only zone I would like to include in my bid, and my goal is to first try up to a $280 for a 5 star and then, if rejected, try for a 4.5* up to $280.

Another question I had is: if I wanted to try to score a 4.5 or 5-star hotel in the Times Square area for slightly less money than what is given in the offers above by using Priceline's name your own price feature, how much do you suggest I bid? Would bidding somewhere between $230-$250 reasonable, or do you recommend increasing this amount a bit?

Any help you can provide with the above would be truly appreciated.
