3.5* (not 3* as shown in the list here) Sedona Summit condo - Amenities shown as: Suite, Free parking, Free Internet, Studio, Air conditioning, Fitness center, Pool(s), 24-hour front desk, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby 90% Hotwire approval rating No specific Accessibility amenities listed. My room is a ground-floor room but would be difficult to navigate with a wheelchair or walker due to narrow passages and sharp turns, and a 3" curb on the shower stall. Add taxes & fees for $30.54 -- Total $164.54 for 2 nights BUT the resort also charges a $12/night "resort fee" and tax on arrival. Total still under $200 for two nights. Very nicely furnished small suites with small kitchenette area, private balcony or patio, hot tub access, 24-hr coffee at the lobby, spacious shower stall, excellent selection of cable TV channels, parking spaces very close to the room (helpful for the walking-impaired as I am.) The concierge service is a bit too pushy for my taste. The room is beautifully furnished and comfortable, but when I arrived, the smoke detector was bleeping and it took over 1.5 hrs to get it really fixed; the TV was also unplugged at the back, and the kitchenette sink was very slow. It appears that something is lacking on checking the rooms if all of these were overlooked, and the time involved to get the alarm silenced was vastly excessive. Nonetheless, in other ways less anomalous, it's seems like a great place to stay at this price.

I did not use the biddinghelper tool as I am used to purchasing via other methods, but I did check this site first to see what amenities should associate with the 3* hotels in that area, since this was Hotwire & I wanted some idea of which hotel it might be. The amenities that I listed were all that were shown for the hotel when I was bidding, on the regular Hotwire site (not using the tool), and no accessibility amenities were evident. I don't know if it's still true but, in the past, Hotwire used to shuffle visible amenities shown for hotels that had longer lists, to make it more difficult to recognize the same hotel from a previous bid. From my Hotwire account, this hotel shows: Amenities: Free parking, Free Internet, Airport shuttle, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby Accessibility: Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower From my reservation confirmation, these are all put in one list but contain the same items. This was the only 3* (or better) hotel at the Phoenix airport that was under $100 for that night, and it had a Hotwire 90% approval. I generally don't rely on Hotwire's star rating, but more often consider the approval rating shown, combined with the amenities, and using this or other sites to try to narrow down the possible hotels. I've been using betterbidding as a reference for more than 5 years (possibly 7-8 years?) but as my hotel-stay level has dropped from 40-50 times/yr with someone else making the actual reservations, to "very occasionally" now, I've never posted before. In future posts, I will remember your comments and check the full list of amenities before posting. Thanks for the "welcome" and the suggestions.

Not a great deal for this Holiday Inn, though Priceline was showing much higher prices for everything at the airport, and my "Name Your Own Price" attempts were too low. Got it on Hotwire at $89+fees=$109. I thought I would get the Comfort Inn based on listed amenities (with smoke-free + laundry): Free Internet, Free parking, Airport shuttle, Business center, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Self-service laundry, Smoke-free rooms My flight out is early-early so I needed a shuttle ~4am, and the hotel confirmed the shuttle is available starting at 3:30am.
