  1. I want to give bidding a shot. I like the plan of trying first for a 4.5* up to my limit of 100. I feel like it's ambitious but I'd rather give it a shot and then move on to the 4*. You said you take the rest from here? Do you just give me a bidding strategy or? I understand obviously starting with a low price and then incrementing until I reach my max but I know there are tricks with selecting the zones as well so idk. Thank you
  2. I replied to my previous thread, not quite sure how to close the thread though.
  3. I apologize for not closing this thread. I cant remember the exact details of my winning bid but I did stay at the Pittsburg Marriott City Center. I believe it was around 120 give or take a night.
  4. Looking to book a hotel for Philadelphia, I'm tempted to try a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal but I feel like I can get a better deal by bidding. I'd obviously like to get a good deal so I figured I try to get some help or more knowledge instead of just jumping into the bidding. I dont want to mess up my chances. Ideally looking for 4* at a good price but will settle for a 3* minimum. Zones: Trying to stay in the main city center so, City Center West, City Center East , and Historic District (Penns Landing). Dates are from August 2nd to August 5th Trying to save some money so I'm trying for $100 a night, give or take some. None.
  5. Yeah I figured that was ambitious. I'm actually going to be in Pittsburgh for that game so there for those dates. I dropped the ball not booking early but then I found this site so I thought there might be hope after all. Using the site you provided the cheapest I found in the desired zones was aroun 225-270. I even went down to 2.5* and the cheapest was 160 in a nearby zone. Obviously I want to save some money but Im also willing to raise what im willing to spend. What would be the best course of action moving foward? Thanks for the feedback.
  6. This will be my first time bidding on Priceline and would like to have a general idea of how to go about things. Ive seen successful bids with low prices and high rated hotels so I figured Id ask for help. 3.5* and up (or 3* and up. Care mostly about location) Pittsburgh, PA. Zones: Downtown Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Southside 12/2/16-12/5/16 $100 max Doesnt matter. Parking would be cool but not a must need.
