I'm trying to stay under $300 a night, and I'd like to be within walking distance to the tree if possible. Uber is definitely an option or subway but being near the shopping and the restaurants is appreciated during the colder times. Pretty much what I'm told is we need to see the tree and go ice skating haha.

Sure thing... really just looking for a nicely laid out hotel, in a central location within 2-3 great restaurants, shopping and the tree at Rockefeller Plaza. I don't want to be in a financial district or for it to feel unsafe or empty. Romantic would be a nice touch haha.
