  1. I only filed a dispute because every CS rep I spoke to initially was unable to help me after hours on hold and many phone calls. Being forwarded to several departments and being told I needed to call back at this time or call this number, only to call per their instruction and get the same runaround, was frustrating. However, realizing that they had to be very familiar with the error at this point and seeing the posts by others on their resolutions, I tried again at the beginning of this week. Hotwire told me I had been moved to Bellagio. Others have been offered suites and I feel like that is a reasonable substitute to compensate for other inconveniences (ie. location and parking). I don't see why they wouldn't seeing as others have been successful and my stay is during one of the least busy weeks in Vegas in the calendar year (Dec. 17-21) when rooms are relatively cheap. I will not cancel my dispute until resolution happens or a refund has been granted by Hotwire, though.
  2. Did your reservation update on your Hotwire account? I am curious to see if it displays your guaranteed suite rather than "bed assigned at check-in." I have been moved to the Bellagio as well without being consulted on an alternative. I do not want to stay there-- older hotel, no free parking, not a boutique hotel and not in the same location as the hotel I originally bid on. I feel like it is appropriate that they offer a suite vs. a standard room because the original hotel booked is obviously on a whole different scale of luxury that cannot be matched by the Bellagio. I will accept the offer IF I can secure a suite and it is guaranteed. If not, I will be following through with my credit card dispute.
  3. I wish you both were right. I tried not once but twice now to contact Hotwire and I've been very kind about the whole thing. Mistakes happen, I get it. What I do not understand or have time for is poor customer service. I don't have time to sit on hold for hours while continually being passed around by their CS reps who never seem to be in the "right department" to handle my problem. I do not trust that Hotwire would, at this point, offer me a deal I could feel confident in. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company to get the ball rolling because my faith in Hotwire is shot. I see in other threads that we are having varying degrees of success righting this wrong. Thanks for help, guys!
  4. You made it further than I did. I contacted Hotwire not once but twice and was passed around to different departments and spent almost an hour on hold between my phone calls. No supervisor to speak to, no one offering any help, just being told their department was "not the department that handles these problems" and sending me back to the main board to once again press a number. I filed a dispute with my credit card company. Even if they managed to offer me another hotel at the same price, I wouldn't trust that the deal would be honored and I'd be right back at square one. Never have I had this issue with any other third-party booking website! Thank you all for updating!
  5. Like a few of you have done in the past 24 HRS or so, I booked the "5 Star Boutique Hotel in South Strip T Mobile Arena" at an amazing $75 a night for a Dec. 17-21 stay! What did I end up with?! SKYLOFTS! However, my mother-in-law doubted the booking and called the hotel before she jumped in herself. The hotel is NOT honoring these bookings. They said it is up to Hotwire to solve the issue. I just got off the phone with Hotwire who was unable to get in touch with the reservation team handling my reservation due to "time difference" and she advised me to call back tomorrow. I asked what my options were and she said I can either get transferred to another hotel (no thanks) or get my money back. I will call every day until I get my money back. I suggest you do the same!
