  1. Thanks for your insight! It looks like it may be riskier to depend on extending your stay to get more nights.
  2. My hotwire itinerary, it has a button "Add to your stay". This is what it says: "Use Hotwire's Add to Your Stay feature to book additional nights or another room at Four Seasons Vancouver. Select the type of addition you'd like to make. Then enter your new dates and click "Search."" I never used that before, so i was wondering if it's possible book one night, and if it's what you want, then extend the days longer with the known hotel. This may lower the risk a little. So I tried to add some days to see what would happen. it will let me add 3 more days at the Four seasons for $113, which is just a tad higher than what i paid. I did a hotwire search from scratch for the 4th - 7th and came up with the same price $113. So it looks like it may let you add more days at the same hotel for the transparent price.
  3. Here is the full list on "My Trips" Hotel Amenities Free Internet Pet friendly Indoor pool(s) Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Accessibility Accessible for visually impaired Accessible for hearing impaired Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Wheelchair accessible Accessible bathroom Accessible parking Roll-in shower Just wondering, will it work if i book one room first, then if i get the hotel i want, extend the trip for the other nigihts? This may be a way to reduce the risk of getting the wrong hotel.
  4. I used the HOTWIRE link on the BB website. Amenities Business Center indoor pools pet friendly pools restaruant free internet Thanks for the tips! it's $178 on Kayak.
  5. I used the HOTWIRE link (and got an additional $10 off! Thanks!) I did a little bit more research. One review for the $130 hotel said that the pool was being renovated. I called Venetian to check and sure enough, one of the pools in their Venezia tower is under construction. They also mentioned that all of the standard suites in the Venetian were renovated. It made me think about booking Venetian instead of Pallazzo since their rooms would be newer, but I dont want to risk being in the Venezia tower with no pool, although you do have access to the other pools. So i figured, the Venetian would be more expensive because they renovated the rooms. Also the original price for the rooms show the $105 room to be higher than the $130, which is consistent with Kayak. After hours of analysis i pulled the trigger and went for the $105 hotel....and it's the Pallazzo. I just hope i'm not stuck in an accessible room. Thanks again! * we crossed posts. You posted before I finished writing mine...so i didn't get to read yours. Thanks for responding so quickly. I figured it was really late where you were...
  6. Hi, Sorry, this is a very similar post to the one just before mine, but I'm hoping for Pallazzo The Hotwire easy view is pretty convenient. I'm using Hotwire to search 4/7-4/10, 5 star, north strip I filtered out the Trump by selecting "casino" as a requirement. I'd like to get the Pallazzo. Is there a way to distinguish the Pallazzo with the Venetian? Here's what I get: $131 FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free Internet, Resort, Suite, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower $105 FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Suite, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower By the way, I get another hotel when I search directly on Hotwire, and the prices may be $1 different: $105 95% recommended Free parking ◾Free Internet ◾Resort ◾Suite ◾Casino ◾Fitness center ◾Pool(s) ◾Restaurant(s) ◾Business center ◾Internet access ◾Golf nearby ◾Tennis nearby ◾Spa services ◾Accessible for visually impaired ◾Accessible for hearing impaired ◾Accessible path of travel ◾In-room accessibility ◾Accessible bathroom ◾Accessible parking ◾Roll-in shower $104 90% recommended Free parking ◾Suite ◾Casino ◾Fitness center ◾Pool(s) ◾Restaurant(s) ◾Business center ◾Internet access ◾Golf nearby ◾Spa services ◾Accessible for hearing impaired ◾Accessible path of travel ◾In-room accessibility ◾Accessible bathroom ◾Accessible parking ◾Roll-in shower $130 95% Recommended Free parking ◾Free Internet ◾Resort ◾Suite ◾Casino ◾Fitness center ◾Pool(s) ◾Restaurant(s) ◾Business center ◾Self-service laundry ◾Internet access ◾Golf nearby ◾Tennis nearby ◾Spa services ◾Accessible for visually impaired ◾Accessible for hearing impaired ◾Accessible path of travel ◾In-room accessibility ◾Accessible bathroom ◾Accessible parking ◾Roll-in shower So, i'm thinking that the $104 (90% rec) is Wynn or Encore since it's not a resort. Therefore the $105 and $130 would be Venetian and Pallazzo respectively. is there a way to tell the difference? I'm going to have a toddler, so I searched witih one child, and the 90% recommended hotel jumped to $170, which makes think that its a Wynn property. That may be a handy trick for the future. The one other thing i noticed is that the $130 has "self service laundry" on my list directly from Hotwire. According to the hotel lists on this website, only Venetian has "laundry". Also, do you know if they actually give you the accessible room or do you have a choice to get the standard room? Thanks!
  7. There are more listed after purchasing, but I listed the amenities that were shown before booking. This is what I looked at when determining which hotel it was.
  8. Used better bidding HOTWIRE link. $41 Las vegas Strip South 1/6-1/7/14 Luxor $52.40 with tax $18-$20 resort fee Total: ~$70 Amenities listed on details page: Free parking free internet resort casino fitness center pools restaurants business Center Internet Access I noticed that it did not match the better bidding list exactly. It did not have "golf". So it could potentially be Planet Hollywood. Both hotels had a 3.5 * rating on Tripadvisor. The others had a 4* or more. Luxor is listed at $72+tax+resort fee = $98.98 on Kayak.
  9. Used HOTWIRE link. just booked *5 Vdara for 1/3-1/6/13 in Las Vegas for $89/night Kayak lists hotel for $141/night Amenities: Free parking suite fitness Center business Center Golf nearby free internet smoke free rooms pools internet access Thanks Better bidding!

  12. I checked HOTWIRE and found a 5* north strip for $157. I used the PRICELINE link on this website to bid from 120-155 (120,130,140,150,155) and won at 155. The taxes are a little lower with PRICELINE so the total came to $183 (HOTWIRE was $189) so i saved $6. The hotel i won was Venetian. Thanks Better Bidding!

  15. 8/8-8/10 (2 nights) Boston: Quincy Market-Financial District-Faneuil Hall 4* $110 Quincy market-Financial District-Faneuil Hall ---Rejected 4* $120 QM-FD-FH, Brighton-Brookline---Rejected 4* $130 QM-FD-FH, B-B, Medford/Sommerville ----Accepted Onyx Hotel. 16. I'm going to Honolulu for a surprise birthday gift for my girlfriend. I tried the strategy outlined in the previous thread (going through savingsbarn.com) but i couldn't get any of my bids to work. Here's my strategy: 1. WS $110 (yea i know, it's kinda low) 2. WS A $115 3. WS EC $120 . . . 17. WS A D EC I $180 Next day 1. WS $150 . . . 4. WS EC A $180 5. WS D $185 I decided to stop because I have back up reservations at Waikiki Beach Marriott for $195 with a AAA discount. Why do you think I couldnt get a priceline winning bid? Did they run out of rooms? Do you think if i wait a few days priceline will have any availability at a lower price? Or will the minimum winning bid always be higher as the days get closer to the target date? Do they vary their winning bids? Was there any point in my starting my bid lower than my highest bid the day before? Is there any chance of getting a better deal? I could look at Waikili North, but i think i'd rather stick with the Marriott. Thanks!
