  1. I guess one last question! Best way to get from O'Hare to the MileNorth downtown? We will not be renting a car for our trip. Most inexpensive, versus easiest, especially if raining......
  2. Thanks again. One last question, Aaron. Looks like our first day there will be rainy (Sat May 7). What are some good things to do on a rainy day in Chicago?
  3. If it were up to me, the upcoming trip would be just pizza and baseball. Will definitely take in a Cubs game, and White Sox too. Leaning towards the Cubs Monday night game, and perhaps the Wrigley tour at 3pm before that. Guess my wife and like the regular "touristy" things, but aren't that much into museums/arts. Would like a boat sightseeing trip, maybe both the River and the Lake. We will pick one of the two tall buildings to go to the top. We're there about 3.5 days, surely not enough time to do everything, especially on our first trip there. Any "can't miss" recommendations I have not yet mentioned?
  4. Used the HOTWIRE link (and Bidding Helper), and have posted my win. Thanks to thereuare and AaronJB. Got MileNorth for $101. My wife and I are excited about our upcoming stay and trip. Out of curiosity, I saw another 4*, Mag Mile-Water Tower, for $93, also for 5/7 to 5/10. Wonder which one this was: FULL AMENITIES: Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
  5. From BiddingHelper.com: FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Hotline also mentioned a fee "about 7 dollars" so was pretty sure it was the MileNorth. Thanks for everyone's help.
  6. My wife and I have never been to Chicago, and are not sure where to start with our upcoming May trip. It will be a three night stay, May 7-10. We'd like to stay downtown, somewhere, within walking distance of at least some tourist attractions, no problem taking the CTA where ever we need to go. All the options on Priceline and Hotwire are a bit overwhelming! Don't need a five-star (3.5-4 is okay) and would love to stay as close to $100 per night as possible. We do not plan to rent a car, so downtown parking is not an issue. Looking for the best "bang for our buck", and would appreciate any advice. Thanks!
