  2. FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Airport shuttle, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible path of travel, Accessible parking for May 1st to 4th. $75 on bidding helper $76 on Hotwire site. it says " still gathering review" thanks for ID of this hotel,Can it be the Pacific? Does it look like a new re-branded hotel
  3. see above amenities .Turned out to be the predicted Softitel. Also AUD went down at the same time, resulting in a cheaper USD amt Used the Hot.wire WINTER20 LINK INDICATED on one of the replies on this page, got another USD 20 off
  4. hotwire USD109 5* amenities: FULL AMENITIES: Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower
  5. did not stay there afterall.Never found out re HOTWIRE nor PRICELINE booking as they are so variable. Booked another hotel in Insadong with Expedia directly .
  6. for Sept 2015 20-23, Priceline Express shows a 5* hotel downtown-sydney opera house with 8+ ratings for $117 USD=$145 CAD with Free internet, pool, restaurant ,Fitness,Bussiness centre. The bed configuration maybe the biggest giveaway as it is the same price for either king or king+single bed ie you can choose.Previous bidding wins include Marriott Sydney Harbour,Sir Stamford Circular quay, and Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. Priceline bidding USD$100 was rejected once. Hotwire has a 5* property for CAD $ 139 (USD 112)with smoke free room, fitness, restaurant, bussiness centre, internet +Accessiblity etc which I think describes the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. There is no bed- configuration choice. Thank you very much for your help. Does the bed configuration gives me a better picture of the actual Hotel? If they are the same Sofitel then Hotwire is cheaper!

  12. been trying from 90-115$ for 3.5 * to 4* at Millenium /loop and north shore without success. In town for a conference. Would staying at the suburb or airport be an option? Which location would be more convenient for commuting in? alternatively can rent car and park at the convention centre for $19 flat rate. Thanks for advice
  13. Bid and paid for 4* Did not like Hotel provided, hence bid this before going to the airport First bid $ 75 Accepted. Total $ 93+ including fees. It seems Hilton(adequate but older and outside main street) is more often won on bids than the Meridian(which has better breakfast and better location).
  14. I am thinking of looking at lastminute.com or placing a bid on 3/13 before departure on Priceline last minute maybe 70$.It still may get me the Hilton which is not very good .I was hoping for the Le Royal Meridien at People Square and Nanjing Shopping street.

View of the bund would be blocked by construction pre World expo thinking of ditching this hotel for something better ie forgoing $75 , what would be the best strategy to do so and use this as back-up?
