  1. Checked www.lastminute.com and found that the Molino Stucky comes up with only one room available opaque, they show trip advisor so can figure out hotel. It is also only available there for 2 nights, Friday and Sat. of your stay Tried 2 rooms and did not come up. Rates really go up on Sunday. Risky to see if another room becomes available after booking first one. The rate is 129 pounds which is $209 opaque.... Identified with text...This amazing 5 star hotel is the perfect place for indulging yourself in luxury and enjoying a quiet... Was in Venice last weekend and it was so packed, especially with Chinese tourists. Booked the Westin for 148 euros at last minute for that stay and it was alright, but again, had filled up with Chinese groups. The Molino Stucky was available then for same rate and I tried priceline to $180 with no win. Good Luck.
  2. Being that they loose points on Hotwire Ratings for location, I would guess first the Renaissance and then second guess would be the Crowne Plaza. Both can be won on Priceline with CP from 90 in city zone and Ren. from 78 or so in Glattburg. There are only 5 hotels that match the trip advisor rating of 4 and that would leave the Novotel or Swisshotel as possibilities.
  3. I am getting 3.5 Tripadvisor, indicating the Lidner Grand Hotel Beau Rivage.
  4. You are lucky that most hotels shut down inventory to opaque sites during special events or you would have gotten the most expensive NH room ever. They can not overbook during this time as all hotels are full so they are not willing to take risks. That is Carnival of Venice. It ends on the 8th. Saw the Hilton was on lastminute.com for 144 pounds or around 150 euros on Friday the 4th, but no inventory came there on the 5th.
  5. This would seem to most likely be the NH Zurich Airport.
  6. Congratulations, your price of $51 was accepted by Hyatt Place Nashville/Franklin/Cool Springs. Bid 1 $46, with $15 counter offer of $61 Bid 2 $49, with $15 counter offer of $64 Bid 3 $51, accepted Hyatt Place Nashville/Franklin/Cool Springs Franklin - Cool Springs 650 Bakers Bridge Avenue Franklin, Tennessee 37067 615-771-8900 Wingate did not hit at low end so went for the 3 star with more re-bid options.
  7. Congratulations, your price of $50 was accepted by Sheraton Libertador Hotel. First bid with one day notice. Seemed the $45 win had used bonus so may have paid $55 so did not want risk in this one zone city so bid with most wins. Bid 1 $50, accepted Sheraton Libertador Hotel Avenidadoba 690 Buenos Aires, AR 54-1143210000 Staying at other Sheraton now due to a diverted aircraft and they wanted $220 for one more night and found $119 as best rate for Libertador. The locals refer to this as a 5 star hotel. This site really saved me again, even though guess my travel insurance will pay and could have spent more, want to avoid the hassle. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: US$50.00 Subtotal: US$50.00 Taxes & Fees: US$17.72 Total Charges: US$67.72
  8. I had missed this thread. I had figured out that this was probably the Crowne Plaza, which I was surprised had a 5 star rating on some sites, and decided as well to not book it. They have severe traffic problems in this zone now as they are reconstructing the motorway near there. The Vinci at a good price is a much better choice if it was the Crowne Plaza.
  9. The Chamberi-Charmartin-Salamanca zone
  10. An offer came on Travelzoo.com for 3 night December stays with breakfast at the 5* Ritz Hotel in Madrid for $455 + tax and fees. The link connects to Liberty Travel though. Fine print a little strange as far as per person rates, that would put it higher than what you can get it on their website. Could always try calling their in-house reservations though if interested to see if they would meet offer. As these five star hotels cater mostly to business clientelle, you should not have a problem landing them around the time of your stay. http://www.ritzmadrid.com/web/orit/hotel_ritz_madrid.jsp
  11. The 3.5 tripadvisor rating would be the Husa Princessa or the Miguel Angel. Both have appeared for years on Lastminute.com top-secret. The Miguel Angel should be out of the central zone as it is right behind the Intercontinental. That would leave the Husa Princessa. This is connected to the Husa Moncloa and shares facilities. I think their pool and spa are for fee and that is why they left them off. The location of the Husa Princess is great though. Right behind the Corte ingles department store and you have busses every minute down to Gran via and beyond. loop metro 10 minutes over to nuevos ministerios for train to airport. I have not won myself and not posted therefore, but I have had two friends win the Melia Princessa 2 weekends in August for just 75 bid on Priceline central zone. October would be higher and your stay is a business Thursday, but maybe you could win there for 110 or so, but that weekend is coming in high right now when looking at Kayak.com Good Luck.
  12. Bern did start appearing on Hotwire a few weeks ago and the rate has been $119 for every date I have checked. When adding one night taxes it is about $136, but you get a better deal for a multiple night stay. With a trip advisor rating of 4 and the features listed it would seem to be the HI Westside, connected to the shopping centre and spa. Bern has not showed up on Priceline yet. Hotwire was new in Switzerland in just the past year. If it is the HI, they do not get the concept really as about the same rate can be found on other channels through www.kayak.com
  13. Congratulations, your price of $41 was accepted by Hyatt Regency O Hare Bid one $39, not accepted Bid two $40, not accepted with $10 re-bid offer Bid three $41, accepted Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $41.00 Subtotal: $41.00 Taxes & Fees: $13.44 Total Charges*: $54.44 $118 or $134 with tax on multiple websites. $80 savings. $79 or $94 total with tax on Hotwire. $40 savings.
  14. Congratulations, your price of $89 was accepted by The Westin Palace Milan. Bid 1 $88, rejected w/ $15 re-bid offer Bid 2 $89, accepted Price Per Room, Per Night: US$89.00 Subtotal: US$267.00 Taxes and Services Fees: US$39.27 Total Charges: US$306.27
  15. Have been trying this one a couple weeks with a few bids. Bid 1 $81 not accepted Bid 2 $85 not accepted, no re-bid Bid 3 $100 not accepted, no re-bid Did not want to go over $100 as did not want the Crown Plaza if had to pay more and would prefer the Renaissance then. Bid 4 $86 with $15 rebid offer (noticed another post here with a $100 win for Marriott) Bid 5 $88 not accepted with $15 re-bid Bid 6 $89 accepted. Zurich Marriott Hotel Neumuehlequai 42 Zurich, 8001 41-44-360-7070 Room Cost (avg. per room, per night):$89.00 (USD) Number of Rooms:1 Number of Nights:2 Room Subtotal:$178.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees:$21.52 (USD) Total Room Cost:$199.52 (USD)
  16. You could probably start bidding at around 79 to 81 dollars for the airport zone for a 4 star. Risky zone as quite large on priceline map. Not end of world though.... as if taxi needed thez have set fee within that zone that puts you at 22 to 27 euros to airport, even if right next to it. That being a sunday morning trip it would be only 30 or so...... but if you would win the renaissance or tryp or some others they have shuttles. Good luck.
  17. That might be a new listing for the Renaissance by Marriott. You can get it for 89 euro or 7 less than hotwire on their website. Taxes are included on other websites for spain. I will post on Priceline for that recomendation.
  18. Noticed that Meridien did pop up again over on the PRICELINE thread again for this zone again.
  19. Congratulations, your price of $38 was accepted by Country Inn And Suites Council Bluffs. At the Horseshoe Casino. Bid 1 $36, $10 rebid offer Bid 2 $37, $10 rebid offer (Council Bluffs, Airport East) Bid 3 $38, accepted 3 rooms (Council Bluffs, Airport West) Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $38.00 Subtotal: $114.00 Taxes & Fees: $28.35 Total Charges*: $142.35 Advance purchase rate of $89 available direct. $169 at Horseshoe Casino site.
  20. Congratulations, your price of $54 was accepted by Courtyard By Marriott Des Moines Ankeny. Bid 1 $52, rejected with $10 offer. Bid 2 $53, rejected with $10 offer. Bid 3 $54, accepted. Won this back on the 22nd of July and happy with result as did not hit West Des Moines from 2.5 and above, while going up to $80. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $54.00 Subtotal: $324.00 Taxes & Fees: $52.50 Total Charges*: $376.50
  21. I have stayed at this hotel several times. The rooms are large for Zurich. They do state a maximum of 3 guests, with roll-away beds at just 15 CHF a night. You should be fine with children in those age groups though. They have even respected my Elite Marriott membership upon each stay even though always booking through Priceline.
  22. For the 7th that would be a name your own price bid of $162 to $165 that should win a 5 star. While there are 11, 5 star hotels in the zone the Eurostars Gran Marina is the most likely when looking at rates at Kayak.es to guide me. I have noticed that in Spain the priceline rate is often the same as the lowest euro rate there. The euro rate is now 162 that night at the Gran Marina. You might get the W, but actually the gran marina is more convenient as you must go all the way around to the W, but can walk straight into the city and cruise shuttles from the gran marina. There could always pop up a new hotel, but these two have been showing the most recently. The Meridian may be back though. Good Luck. PS. Totally different circumstances on the 18th. Very high rates showing for all 5 star hotels. See the Marriott out by airport is available for just 90 euros though. Many do not like location. I am fine with it. If you have Marriott status, Silver and above, their elite hotel with lounge is actually rated as a 5 star, while the other side of hotel carries the 4 star. (spanish standards)
  23. I thought I saw a post a while ago with these amenities and then the poster identified it later as the W Barcelona. I can not find that post now. I had mentioned it could be the Pullman Barcelona Skipper and they confirmed it was not. That said, You could probably get the W on Priceline for the 7th of September (as I understand you need) for around $162-165. (10% off Hotwire) The 8th would be the same. The 18th looks more problamatic and you might consider other options. Good Luck.
  24. When I looked at my usual indicators for Zurich, it did not look good for Zurich city zone and may not even come in within your budget as best HOTWIRE is $179 and PRICELINE usually falls just around 10% under this for me in Zurich. You could probably win the Renaisance Glattbrug or other in area for around the usual low of $71 or so. You could check this out. I have stayed there several times and the tram to city is not too bad. I understand it is not the same as staying in city. Do have easy connection to and from airport on tram 10 there as well.
