  1. how can you pick which properties are 'off the record'.
  2. I have been scouting the hotel websites and have seen some crazy prices usually ranging upwards of $250 a night. I am beginning to get worried that even a cancellable backup maybe out of reach for these dates. Is there a convention checker for Chicago as my dates can be flexible and if there is something major on I will try to rejig the timetable.
  3. OK Thanks. I do want to support this site and so will try to use the usa site and thus savingsbarn. thanks for the assurances :)
  4. Thanks for the information. It is really appreciated. Do priceline.co.uk and the singapore site operate off the same databse as the USA site? Is it just a case of having to work out the pounds to dollars conversion etc? If that is the case, I could just as easily use the UK site and convert aussie dollars to pounds etc and then work out USA rate (sounds a little too complicated). Thanks for your assistance. This site is quite friendly compared to TOBB.
  5. I am going to be in the same position soon. I am worried that when they ask for ID they will notice my Australian address on my licence. I have two options (I can use the Canada trick) or I can use a friends address in the US but again when it comes to check in they will realise my aussie address. Is this a problem or am I just being jittery for no real reason. Love the Board by the way!
  6. What are rates like in NYC MTW/MTE in late April/early May? Im starting to plan a trip early and would like to know how much you think i should roughly budget? Is it an expensive time of year. Obviously I am not going to start bidding on hotels at this time but will hopefully start around the end of jan. is this a good time to start in terms of leaving enough time?
  7. I would be interested in how you go Gaucho as well as I have an overseas billing address. Can you keep us informed?
  8. I am new here but this is an awesome feature. A big congratulations to all the contributors.
  9. Thanks for your prompt reply. For what it is worth, this is what priceline advised: At present, you may use our website to make a booking as long as you have a billing address in the United States or Canada. For your protection, we use an automated address verification system to verify the billing information. I presume this means that the fake area code will not work? I would hate to rock up to a hotel and be told sorry you booked from overseas is all.
  10. Hello all. Congratulations on a great community. Is it possible to book on priceline.com if you live overseas (Australia) to be precise? I note that it only has space for US/Canadian addresses. Any information would be of great assistance.
