  1. Looking through VP as well, i'm guessing this is the Silver Cloud stadium, which unfortunately isn't located near where I need to be...
  2. Searching 10/7-10/11, getting a 3.5* for $139/night. Amenities are: Fitness center, business center, pool, restaurant, laundry, and HS internet access Having a hard time matching this one up... any thoughts?
  3. Due to stubborn family, this trip ended up being booked the "conventional way" *sigh*
  4. Like I said, Days Inn was strictly a guess based on the "sports bar", but doubted that it would be a 3*. Comparing the two Sheraton's, with the sports bar part in the comment for this 3*, I'd lean towards it being the Inner Harbor one (with Oriole's Bar and Grill), but could be wrong... If this truly is the sheraton, rate is 75% off current best available rate...
  5. Further digging around and it looks like this is more likely the Days Inn (based on the comments in the customer review that the restaurant is a sports bar), though it doesn't look like the Days Inn has been reported in this zone. I find it hard to believe the Days Inn would qualify as a 3-star though, so I dunno... thought? Still trying to convince mom to go the Hotwire route...
  6. Still looking and came up with a 3* for $69/night now, with restaurant, pool, fitness, and business center as amenities. Looks like perhaps the Sheraton City Centre? Or am I missing something? Thanks!
  7. Thanks for your help. I was stumped too! Since I'm traveling with family who wants to be truly at or near the Inner Harbor, I think i'm going to have to pass on this one and go about making reservations the conventional way.
  8. OK - done. Those trips were so far back I had to think for a bit to figure out what I ended up doing!
  9. Stuck it out with my Monte Carlo reservation for this one
  10. Due to cost, ended up staying at a local 1* for this trip. Hotwire never dropped below the entertainment rate
  11. Looking for 5/16/07-5/18/07 (2 nights) Getting a 3* for $79 with the ONLY amenities showing are pool and restaurant. Any ideas????
  12. I read that, but it said that "Hotwire will issue a refund to the customer in an amount equal to two times the difference between the customer's total Hotwire rate for their stay and the lower total rate for the customer's stay identified by the customer." I guess I must be misinterpreting With the matching amenities, is the Orleans the only 3 1/2 * in this zone?
  13. If i understand the DTD correctly, it is the TOTAL hotwire rate (including taxes/fees) minus the total other rate (including taxes). At current rates, the DTD would give me 2 nights for a total of about $5. would hotwire go this low?
  14. i decided not to chance it - i called hotwire and asked if the DTD covers American Express rates and they said no since those are not "available to the general public" so i didn't want to chance it with a mastercard rate. i'll keep my rate of $30/night for the 2 night. windymulder - see you there on the 23rd!
  15. i'm torn as to whether to chance it or not ... very tough call!!!
  16. when you submitted the DTD request - did you specify the mastercard promo, or did you just submit it as a request based on the rate with the Promo code (and not mention mastercard)? I'm very tempted to try it - getting what appears to be the Orleans for March 23-25 (same exact amenities listed) for $59/night. after DTD would end up being a great deal!
  17. yeah - that was my thought too. Of course, double the difference would make the room free (well, $2/night) ... :) The zone and ammenities match up, but i don't think i would take the chance. You're right about the rep and possibility of them denying the DTD guarantee
  18. I wonder if this is the same hotel that is currently showing up at $59/night from 3/23-3/25. If so, wonder if it is worth taking the chance with the DTD guarantee (currently booked directly through the Orleans at the Mastercard rate of $30/night) Any thoughts out there????
  19. i'll be at the Orleans 3/23-3/25 (2 nights) - see ya there!
  20. those are from the "complete ammenity" list. and also matched up to the aladdin displayed in a hotel/car package for the same dates with same amenities (also no pool shown) so recommendations on Aladdin vs. Monte Carlo?
  21. 4* Hotel on the LV Strip for 3/20-3/23. Showing as $117/night. Can't match it with anything on the list. Not a bad deal for these nights at all. Currently have a reservation at the Monte Carlo for $119/night, trying to decide whether to keep that or take chances elsewhere (either Hotwire or Priceline) Can't match it with one on the Hotwire Hotel list. i think it is Aladdin, but not sure. What are your thoughts? Amenities are: Casino - Restaurant - Fitness Center - Spa Services - High Speed Internet Access - Golf Nearby - Tennis Nearby - Business Center Any thoughts - do I keep what I have, or take the Hotwire/Priceline route???
  22. Thanks. Already have a room booked at the Radisson as a back-up for $125/night (entertainment rate) in case i can't get anything better on Priceline or Hotwire
  23. 4* Hotel coming up in Lihue-Kapaa for $160/night or $140/night. Ammenities are: Resort, Beachfront, Shuttle, Restaurant, Swimming Pool, Fitness Center, Business Center, Golf nearby Any clue what it is? The ammenities are different from the Radisson that comes up in a package...
