OK - so based on the above the only areas I can see that do not have any 5* hotels are Ghantoot Racing and Polo Club and North Dubai (using Priceline search). So based on that for my second bid I can add Ghantoot and for my third bid North Dubai?

Sorry - just to be clear - when you say "add re-bid zone1" is this not the first zone shown on priceline? I.e. Al Barsha - Mall of Emirates?

Really? I couldn't find a list of them! My maximum budget is $175 per room (I need two rooms) - that is based on Dubai also having 20% tax!!

I am trying to work out which 5* hotels are available in Palm Jumeirah. From what I can tell, the only available hotel is Jumeirah Zabeel? Dates are 27/10 to 01/11. Also interested in Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach but risky as do not want to get Bonnington or Ibn Battuta (using priceline hotel list)!

I was close to booking this hotel, but wanted to book a suite! Anyone had any experience of booking and then upgrading?

Thanks :) I do have a question actually! Considering renting a car. Is it necessary for getting round in Hoboken? My thought process is by the time I've paid for a taxi from JFK to the hotel, then the hotel to Newark (where we are departing from), plus a shuttle/taxi to do a day at the outlets, I may as well hire a car! However, I wasn't planning on using it for the 2/3 days that we will be going sightseeing in NY, and then I also read that Hoboken is "one of the most walkable cities in the US" and that there is a very easy to use bus network! An alternative would be to just hire a car for the day we go to the outlets? Would appreciate some input from someone who knows the area :)

Went with the Sheraton using Hot.wire in the end! As travelling with two children wanted to make sure we had a big enough room. Thanks to everyone who helped me! Very much appreciated...

Understood. Is there any way of increasing my chances of getting something via PRICELINE at a rate better than the 133 used offered through Hot.wire?

Help getting 4* Jersey City - ideally Westin Newport Jersey City So far I have bid as follows (using the PRICELINE links here of course!!) Only selected 4* deluxe. First bid with just Jersey City - Hoboken - Weehawken - £51 Second Bid added Meadowlands - £59 Third Bid added Secaucus - North Bergen - £69 Fourth Bid - added Newark Liberty International Airport - £79 All been rejected. Help please!

A small update. I have come across the Westin Newport Jersey City on priceline and would really like to try and get that instead! Will post separately in the relevant forum :)

I just wanted to see what other options there were! My budget is around $150 a night.... Seems like the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor is a good choice! In terms of shopping outlets, it would likely be Woodbury Commons but had thought a car would be better as saw some prices online offering trips for $50 per person!
