  1. Using priceline won the 2 1/2 star Hampton Inn, on Western Branch Blvd, Chesapeake, VA on 9/11/10. After winning this hotel checked tripadvisor.com for reviews and found last 2 reviews of the hotel reported bedbugs. I called Priceline customer service and they said "too bad no refund or changes allowed" so I am out the $35 plus $12taxes and fees, but priceline has lost another customer. . . . :) :)
  2. Bid $40.00 for 3* any zone in Richmond and got this Sheraton (West End). Web site price is $179.00 Check-in 12/16/08 one night. Started at $36, then $38, then $40 and got it. (Plus tax and fees)
  3. Saturday and Sunday night. Bid $57 for Convention Center zone, FAILED. PL said to raise bid by $17 I refused. Rebid by adding Freemont zone and raised bid to $61 and won the Residence Inn Hughes Center. The reviews I found for this hotel have been outstanding. Website price was $169 and $159. Taxes and fees $20.73 Total $142.73 :)
  4. Last month I had 1 night at the Omni in Washington DC for $100 using priceline. After we checked in we decided to stay another night, I went down to the front desk and asked if we could stay another night at the same $100 PL rate. The desk clerk said NO, the best she could do was $305, I said thanks anyway. Went back upstairs, got on laptop and bid $100 again and got the same hotel. Downstairs I went again and asked to keep the same room tomorrow night, the clerk was amazed that we got it again for $100. She said we could keep the same room. Well worth it in Washington DC :)
