  1. It was a Priceline win and price was $188 per night per room (without taxes) if I remember correctly.. thanks again!
  2. Used the PRICELINE link on this page and ended up getting 4* ROW NYC for bidding price $166 per night.. not the best of deals as it’s regular price was also $170ish... I hope my parents like the hotel as I read mixed reviews online ... what at do you guys think of ROW NYC? thanks!
  3. Hello people, ended up getting the Time Hotel New-york. experience was good. thanks!!
  4. Hello, looking for 4* or 5* option in Times Square .. hotel should be close to Times Square as my parents are going to be traveling so they cannot really walk for long distances due to age factor. I can pay upto 180-220 per night.. maybe slightly more as well if a very nice hotel is being offered.. I can bid as well if you guys can guide me that a nice hotel is obtainable based on recent winnings.. otherwise please identify the hotels on the express deals.. thanks!
  5. Hello, If quad occupancy, then max $280-$335ish per room. If using PRICELINE EXPRESS for 3 rooms, then max is 250-260 per room per night. But if priceline has bedding choice, then same price as HOTWIRE quad occupancy may be applied. Raza.
  6. Hello, These are the priceline express deals that I am liking.. I have extended my area of stay from TS and MTW to MTE and Central Park South given if there is a very good hotel on offer and we would be happy to walk to TS or nearby areas... I am looking at 3 rooms for NY on priceline.. star rating is not an issue.. basically im very open and flexible to options that are available.. Times square 4.5* @ $259 8.0+ rating Amenities: Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center Bed choice: 1 Queen Bed - non smoking room @ $259 1 king bed - non smoking room @ $273 Times square 4* @ $259 7.0 rating Amenities: Business center Restaurant free internet fitness center bed choice: full bed - non smoking superior room queen bed - non smoking superior room non smoking deluxe room non smoking executive room Midtown west 4* @ $219 7.0 rating amenities: pets allowed, business center, restaurant, free internet room choice: 1 queen bed 1 bed central park south 5* @ $285 rated 8.0 amenities: Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant free internet fitness centre bed choice: room assigned at check in - sleeps 2, 1 bed requested if you see any other good option in these areas, you may also suggest them to me.. 7. Hello, If any of the Hot.wire deals meet my requirements then I will go ahead with it without waiting for the PL express option. Can you please be kind to ID the 3 options I requested? Thanks, Raza.
  8. Hello, Got busy with finalizing the Miami stay and eventually got a deal there and reported it yesterday. Now back onto NY stay for Aug 4-7. Need to identify following deals of HOT.WIRE when searching for quad occupancy: MTE 5* @ $290 -52% 90% recommended Amenities: Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Self-service laundry Internet access Spa services Accessibility Features Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel Times Square 3.5* @ $289 -45% Amenities: Free Internet Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Self-service laundry In room accessibility Midtown central hotel 4* @ $289 per night -24% 85% recommended Amenities: Free Internet Pet friendly Restaurant(s) Business center Self-service laundry Accessibility Features Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, Roll-in shower I'm looking at PRICELINE EXPRESS options as well and will ask for their ID estimate here sometime soon. Thanks! Raza.
  9. Thanks everyone! I just realised that the savings of getting this specific deal atleast aren't that great... Even though the price was $158, Hotwire charges a 'fees' of almost $14 per room per night which makes it $172... And this same room is available on the few regular websites for $177-$180... Anyhow, will surely research better for New York :) But this is just for reference to fellow members ... To take the 'no name' mentioned deals only after confirming that the price benefits are substantial...
  10. Hello, Went with the $156 option after it had jumped to $158 and came out with the Surfcomber Kimpton south beach, identified by yellowdog. Thanks alot for your help guys! Now need to get on with the new york stay! :P Raza.
  11. Hi, I'm thinking of not going with the Gale South beach and would like to have following HOTWIRE hotels ID'd for quad occupancy. Please let me know ASAP because after tomorrow the Gale would charge the first night for my stay. Not going with Priceline for Miami as 3 rooms would cost more than these 2 rooms with quad occupancy.. $179 for 4.5* (2 rooms) Oceanfront Collins avenue Amenities: Near beach Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Self-service laundry Internet access Golf nearby Tennis nearby Accessibility Features Accessible path of travel 4* @$156 per night for quad occupancy Amenities: Free Internet Pet friendly Boutique hotel Beachfront hotel Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Golf nearby Tennis nearby 80% recommended good Please let me know asap so that I can book these rooms.. Thanks again for your help guys! Really appreciate it.
  12. Leaning towards the $259/night 4.5* priceline express deal or the HOTWIRE 4.5* novotel.. Will do it and report here soon.. Raza.
  13. Thanks for the explanation sir about the hotel fees.. Yes I know a 4.5* won't accept a $200 bid realistically... That was just a hypothetical dollar value.. I tried the midtown East as well to win the Omni Berkshire as a couple of fellow members reported it recently but to no avail.. Anyhow, can you please ID the Hotwire hotels I inquired in my previous Post? Thanks a lot for your help, Raza
  14. Hello, Im using the BiddingHelper.com to bid on the priceline hotels. However, when I go to preview page for a 4* hotel, it has all the regular costs listed as well as a charge by the name 'hotel fees', whereas this charge isnt showing up on a 4.5* bidding page. So with the same bid of $200 per night, the eventual total of a 4* is coming to be higher than a 4.5*. So what should I do? Also searching for quad occupancy on HOTWIRE, I see a 4.5* for $289 with following amenities. Can you please ID this property for Times Square: FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Roll-in shower Also Midtown Central on HOTWIRE shows a $260 per night option for 4* with below amenities (quad occupancy): FULL AMENITIES: Fitness center, Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom Thanks, Raza.
  15. Hello, Out of Gale, Wyndham and surfcomber, which is the best choice to go with? In terms of location, restaurants, shopping and access to a nice and clean family friendly beach.. Let me know so that I can proceed.. Thanks, Raza.
  16. Ok thanks, I'll bid and update what happens here.. Also which hotel do you think is the 4* in MTW for $193 from the PL express deal? Raza.
  17. Hello, I booked the gale South beach thru another website and this was around 10-12 days ago before I started looking at Priceline express or Hotwire options.. This is a backup option just in case that I don't find any better deal on Priceline or Hotwire.. So that's why need your opinion.. I want to be near the south beach area as this is my first time to Miami itself and I've heard that South beach is the place to stay... I have to go onwards to Orlando for 12 days after Miami... I will be landing in Miami after a 21 hour flight so want the hotel for our first 3 days to be really good.. Target budget is to be below $136 for which I have the Gale reserved. Thanks! Raza.
  18. Hello, I have booked Gale South beach with a free cancellation option so trying to find a better option in the time being. I wanted to get the royal palm South beach which another member here got for 26-28 July for $106 but it isn't showing up in my dates. So I want to see if I can get any better hotel through the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal under the price of what I have booked Gale South Beach for, i.e. $136 per night without taxes etc. Thanks, Raza.
  19. Please ID the following as well: South Beach Central Area 4* @ $62/night 7+ rating Restaurant Pool bedding choice: 1 king-non smoking -standard South beach ocean drive area: 3.5* @ $109 Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Free Breakfast Thanks!
  20. Times Square is preferred. But midtown west and midtown East would also be okay as long as I'm able to walk to nearby places including Times Square etc. As I will be walking with kids in strollers :) Raza.
  21. Hello, I have bid up to $210 for a 4.5* hotel in the TS area but unsuccessful. Would you suggest to try for a 4* with the bid price of up to around $210-220? What should be a starting point in terms of room rate for a 4* option? Is there somehow you can determine which hotel I am likely to win? I want to exhaust my luck first with the bidding options otherwise I'll just grab something from the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals. Raza.
  22. Hello, I was about to confirm the 4.5* hotel option on PL express but noticed that the price and amenities have changed, so maybe it's a different property now. Please advise. Times Square 4.5* $259/night 8+ reviews Business centre Restaurant Fitness centre Internet Bed choice: 1 queen bed non smoking @ $259 1 king bed non smoking @ $273 Also need to know following: Times Square 4* $228/night 7+ reviews Fitness centre Restaurant Business centre Internet Midtown East 4.5* @ $249/night 8+ reviews Pets allowed Business centre Restaurant Free internet Business centre Bed choice: Queen bed - studio King bed - premier room King bed - executive room 1 bedroom suite Midtown East 4* @ $213/night No reviews Business centre Restaurant Fitness centre Bed choice: room assigned at check in Midtown west 4* @ $212/night 7+ guest reviews Pets allowed Business centre Restaurant Bedding choice: Room assigned at check in Queen bed 2 double beds King bed Please also guide which of these hotels would be the best choice.
