I did this last night and got all the way up to 80, still no luck. Although I'm going for French Quarter so the only ones i'm not selecting are Downtown and Convention. I'll try again tonight and post on my success. It looks like things are pretty pricey for that weekend, probably because the super bowl happens to be then. I'm looking to check in the 3rd and check out the 6th.

Got this after starting bidding at $38. There are like 12 rebid zones so you can be sure to get the best price. I've heard amazing things about this hotel from friends who have stayed there. Excited!

Yes, I understand the rebidding process. I think my question is more along the lines of when I can get the best price. As in, will it go down closer to the time of arrival, or do I keep bumping it up little by little each day until I get it. I'm a little new at this, but I think I understand the overall process. I'd love to get in around the $75/night range, since others have seemed to be able to do this, but I suppose I would be able to do as high as $100 if necessary. Tips appreciated. Thanks!

I have put in 2 bids so far for a Downtown Austin 4* hotel, hoping to get the Omni. I would like to stay 8/5/06-8/6/06. I made the first bid on 7/30 for $72, which I did not get. I made a bid again last night for $80, which I also did not get. Any ideas on the best strategy for this? Should I wait a couple of days and go back down, or should I bump it up a bit and bid again tonight? Thanks!
