  1. I looked at the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals for a 1 night stay 7/1-7/2) in Scranton,PA and it showed a 3* hotel for $63/night. The amenities it indicated were Free Internet Free Parking Swimming Pool Fitness Center Restaurant. After reading other posts about what could be this hotel I figured it would be the Four Points Sheration. After I booked I was right and in fact it was the Sheration. Very happy with the deal.
  2. I went ahead and got the $96 deal for the 4* MTC and like you said it was The Jewel. I think I got a great day on this property knowing that TA rating is 4.5 as well. Thanks for all your feedback. Now have to search for cheap parking in the area since it seems it will be $41 the lot by the Jewel.
  3. Thanks for feedback. Is the Club Quarters a decent stay for the price and location? Yes, need ID for HOTWIRE Midtown central ones. Here are the two I need: 4* at $96/night 85% recommended: FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom 3.5* at $89/night 85% recommended: FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access Any ideas which hotels these are? Also is it worth it to take the 4* which is just $7 more compared to 3.5*? Also is Midtown the good area to stay for 1st time in NYC or would financial district be good too if cheaper rates are found? Also available is this one: A 4* at $83/night in Financial District 90% recommended: FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access Any idea which one is this?
  4. Looking to book MTC for 2 nights for 7/2-7/4. I saw Hotwire deals for 4* for $96/night and 3.5* for $89. The 4* is 85% recommended with free internet, smoke free room, fitness center, restaurants, business center, self service laundry. The 3.5* is 85% recommended with The 4* is 85% recommended with free internet, smoke free room, fitness center, restaurants, business center. Any ideas which properties these can be?
  5. Looking to book MTW for 2 nights for 7/2-7/4. I saw a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $91/night which is 54% off. The amenities include: Free Internet,Gym/Spa, Restaurant, Business Center. Any ideas which property it could be? Could it be Club Quarters Midtown? If can confirm I think I will book it.
  6. Was not able to win with $130 bid. So I instead book directly with another hotel in different area.
  7. I need to book for July 1 - July 3 (2 nights) in New York City. I found a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $92/night for a 4* in the Downtown - Financial District. It says it saves 34% which would put the regular rate at $139/night which matches the Holiday Inn. The amenities are the following: Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center Is this a good deal for this hotel? Would bidding on it get me a price lower than this say around $80? If so what would be my re-bid zones here for new york city? Also on Hotwire there is a 4* in the same Downtown - Financial District for $96 and shows a savings of 37% which puts the regular rate at $154. So not sure if same hotel or different? Please advise. Is the Downtown - Financial District best place for first time visitors to see the majority of attractions? Or should we consider a different area?
  8. So for a 4* star hotel I'm bidding on in Montreal the re-bid zones would be the following correct?: Anjou - St Leonard - Olympic Stadium 3.5 Brossard 3 Dorval Airport Area (YUL) 3.5 Laval 3.5 Longueuil - Boucherville 3 Midtown 3.5 Montreal Downtown - Latin Quarter 3 Pointe Claire 3 I can add any of these in any order after a bid gets rejected and just keep adding one of these zones with the selected 4* Financial district.
  9. Thank you. So no need to close browser or start over after adding certain number of zones? Just bid, if rejected add next zone, increase bid, if rejected, add zone and increase bid and do that until it gets accepted or I reach my max limit of $130? If on my last bid of $130 it still rejects then I can just go to the express deal side and take that offer with no issues correct?
  10. I would like to just accept the Downtown Financial District hotels. What strategy would you recommend for a max bid of $125-$130 since it looks like the express deal at $149 is most likely the Sheraton right now.
  11. How much did you pay? Was this a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal or PRICELINE bidding?
  12. So if I wanted to bid for a 4* hotel what should be my starting bid and would a $130 max be an offer that could be accepted given the $150 PRICELINE EXPRESS offer? I noticed that recent wins for a 4* in the same area was around $120 as posted by priceline. So wondering if starting at $110 and increasing bid by $5 would be a good strategy or not?
  13. So is that a decent rate for this Sheraton for weekend rate? How much less could I get a 4* star by bidding for same zone? What would be a bidding strategy for 4* star for this area with max of $130?
  14. I'm looking to book a 4* star hotel in Montreal for this coming weekend for 2 nights, 6/26-6/28. I looked at the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals and the best offer there is $150/night USD for a 4* star hotel in the Montreal Downtown - Financial District Area Hotel. Based on the amenities listed below for it I believe it is the Hotel Omni Mont Royal: Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center Could this also be the Sheraton or not? Should I just go ahead and try to book it at this price point or do I have a chance of getting this hotel in the $100-$120 range by bidding for it? Of course by bidding it might not be this same hotel or some other 4* hotel. What is the recommended strategy here? I've never done a bidding on PRICELINE before so this is all new to me. Also what is the opinion on this hotel anyways? Is it a good place to stay as far as location goes? I'd like to be around $110-$115/night max before taxes? Is this good range or should I shoot for a lower rate?
