  1. Normally I would agree with you, but I've seen that people won bids of $75 for a resort for the same weeks that I'm bidding, and I've already gone way beyond that rate even for a 3 star. Do you think it's because I want a Saturday night?
  2. Thanks, I guess I'll do that then and let you know if Priceline ever comes through!
  3. Any ideas? Amenities are beach access, pool, complimentary breakfast and laundry. It's $108 for 4/17 which I think is high for a 2.5*, but I'm starting to get nervous. I'm finding nothing for that night and I need 2 rooms pre-cruise. Any ideas of which hotel that might be? I've never booked less than a 4 star so a 2.5* is kind of scary, I'd love to at least have an idea of what hotel it might be. Thanks!
  4. I'm beginning to wonder what's up with Priceline in San juan. I'm an avid Priceline user and have never, ever had to bid so high over the average prices I see others getting for resorts in San Juan. My last bid today (started bidding 2 months ago) was $105 resort, $90 3 star, and I got rejected. I hesitate to bid higher on the resort, especially since a few weeks ago the Caribe Hilton was offering rooms for $110! OK, my bad, I got greedy and didn't book, thinking I could get a resort for less than $90 but now I find out, no dice. We don't get in until 9:00 pm so I really don't want to pay a lot just to sleep. Is anyone else having as hard a time as I am? I booked the Park Plaza Normandie for $125 as a back-up, but I'm kicking myself that I didn't grab the Caribe Hilton for $110. Can anyone offer any suggestions? I need 2 rooms for a one night stay pre-cruise.
  5. Yes, she said she would give me the upgraded room. Apparently that's all they had! I'll write a review, hopefully I won't be disappointed like some others were..
  6. :) I was really hoping for the Hilton in Sedona, but I took the chance and ended up with the Radisson. The reason I'm not really happy is that it gets mixed reviews. I did call to request 2 queens since we were traveling with kids and was very upset to find out that they had none left! The women said that she only had a deluxe room with a king bed, sofa bed and fireplace, and that it was actually an upgraded room from the standard room with 2 queens, so I'm very happy about that. For a minute I thought my lucky streak in always getting accomodations for 4 had run out with Priceline.
  7. I thought I could get this for $75 like I did for a few days before, but I had to rebid. I ended up paying $83 for 4/16-4/18. I posted this in the title but for some reason it didn't post. I still consider it a good deal but I notice on the other board that someone got Hyatt Gainey Ranch for $85 last week! Now that's a deal.
  8. Got Pointehilton Tapatio Cliffs. I really wanted to try for a resort in Scottsdale, but I just was too afraid of getting the Radisson, which I find less desirable than the Tapatio Cliffs, as we have kids and I know Tapatio has ALL 2 room suites!
