Anyways, thank you for your help!

  3. I used BiddingHelper.com.com to find out full amenities, but it seems like they do not show you every result you can see from hotwire.com, I only see 2 options, and I'm not sure which one is which. (and #2 here seems like #3 from my previous list based on its rate, but recommendation rate and number of total reviews are different. anyways here are what I found: #1 $175 95% recommended (total 596 reviews) FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free Internet, Resort, Suite, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower #2 $207 90% recommended (total 105 reviews) FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
  4. OK, I looked up hotwire, and typed in my schedule 12/4-12/7(i found out that reservation for wynn is not completed yet) and got these results for 5* north strip hotels. #1 North Strip area casino hotel 95% recommended (595 total reviews) $291 >> $168 (42% off) Complimentary Free parking, Free Internet Amenities Resort, Suite, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center #2 North Strip area resort 95% recommended (486 total reviews) $308 >> $173 (44% off) Complimentary Free parking, Free Internet Amenities Resort, Suite, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center #3 North Strip area hotel 95% recommended (409 total reviews) $351 >> $205 (42% off) Complimentary Free parking Amenities Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services My guess is #1 = Venetian / #2 = Palazzo / #3 = Wynn, but not sure 'cause this is my first time doing hotwire. I will wait for your advice. thank you!
  5. Sorry for late reply. I think I have to use PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE as you told me. We spent higher budget for Wynn, cause it's only for 1 day, and we really wanted to stay in Wynn at least for once. (and it's nonrefundable.) I will use links on the board to begin my travel purchases for PRICELINE and HOTWIRE. Thank you so much for all your comments and suggestions. it really helped me so much. Thank you!
  6. I'm sorry, but I think I won't go with Trump, cause I looked at google maps again, and it's farther away from strip area than I thought. I'm really sorry. 1. Is there any other 5* Vegas hotels in main strip area you recommend to bid? 2. for example, do you think hotels like Cosmopolitan/Vdara/MGM Grand/ARIA/Mandalaybay possible to bid within my budget? I'm really sorry to change my mind after all the answers you researched for me. This is my first time visiting Las Vegas, so I'm not familiar with their hotels.
  7. I don't want Sls Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, since it is too northern and too far away from Mandalay Bay as well. It seems like I can get Luxor around $230 areas without bidding, so I wouldn't want to bid for that as well. I would rather want to bid for good location/convenience/luxurious hotels within $350 all-in budgets.
  8. So What you mean is $320 all-in rate is not possible to get 4-5* hotels, right? then, ok, I would go with $120/nite for maximum rate.
  9. I think Trump would be an acceptable outcome, but want to know more options too! (since you said it does not have a 'vegas feel') is Trump available in my budget though?
  10. Hi, I'm going to visit Las Vegas from 4th~7th December with my friend. (total 2 persons) We will stay in Wynn on December 6th, which is the last night in Vegas, so I want to bid 4th~6th December(2 nights) in Las Vegas, and I need an advice for this bid. 1) We want to stay around either Wynn hotel area or Mandalay bay hotel area. (We will watch cirque de soleil shows) Our maximum budget is around $115-120/nite, and total budget including tax and resort fee and all that would be around $320/2nites. (Of course if budget could be lower than this rate, I will be more than happy! cuz we already raised our budget due to expensive NY hotels :( ) Is it realistic budget? Could you recommend bidding strategy? 2) Is a 4-5* hotel for this budget unrealistic? I will wait for your response. Thank you for your help in advance. Jae
  11. I won The Marcel At Gramercy Park in ESB area. it was $203/nite and total amount was $1250.25 for 5 consecutive nights including taxes and all that. (Priceline says I saved 39%.) I think I will contact them soon to have 2 separate beds. (I'm not sure if this is even possible for bid, but anyways) Thank you so much for your help!!!!
  12. ok, so in this case, my re-bid zone is (4) coney island / (7) Greenpoint-Williamburg / (15) Morning Side Heights, right? I'm bidding with these re-bid zone right now, and just want to be confirmed if these are correct! and also, I want to know what the hotel fee is. Whenever I add MSG zone on my list, it shows up hotel fee ($120) in total amount. is it mandatory fee that I have to pay?
  13. 15 mins...I heard NY's winter is pretty harsh, but maybe 15 mins is fine if hotel is good. but I am not sure if that 15 mins from subway means that those hotels are located in dangerous or isolated area. if that's not the case, I think it is acceptable. Chelsea is acceptable, but I would prefer midtown area or areas close to midtown if those zones are good as you said! Thank you so much!
  14. Ok, because you told me that it needs to be $200 area for *4 hotel in Manhattan, my new maximum budget will be $220/night/1 room. so total maximum amount including tax and all that must be below $1350/5 nights/1 room. my desired star rating is 4* Thank you so much!
  15. I see so I need to raise my budget to stay in 4* or even 3* hotel in Manhattan. I will try to raise my budget a bit more and try again. Another question for me is which area is good place to bid. I tried MTE, MTW, TS, ESB and MSG. (I heard upper east or west area has bad reputation for hotel's quality and so on.) Which area do you recommend the most to bid? and also, I heard it is hard to get 5 consecutive nights in bidding. do I have to separate 5 nights into two and bid separately? thank you for your kind response!
  16. Hi, I'm going to visit NY from 7th~12th December after 3 night trip from Las Vegas with my friend. (total 2 persons) This is my first time doing priceline bidding, so I need an advice. 1) Is it too early to bid? if yes, when is the best time for me to bid? 2) Our budget is around $145/night. we stay 5 nights so total budget would be around $900 including tax and everything. 3) We want to stay inside Manhattan. (we don't want to stay in long island city, brooklyn or any other places outside Manhattan) is it possible in this budget? Could you recommend bidding strategy and locations inside Manhattan? 4) Is a 4* hotel for this budget unrealistic? I will wait for your response. Thank you for your help in advance. Jae
