Hi, we are looking to visit Boston over the Labor Day weekend in September, but only need a place to stay for the night of 09/04 (to explore Cambridge / Harvard / MIT area). We already booked another Boston Downtown hotel for the rest of the trip. Is staying in Cambridge Waterfront acceptable? We are looking for an area that is safe to walk around at night. Hotwire is giving this hot-rate 4* hotel for $135. Got this hotel for $185 / night for 3 nights. Total $660 for entire stay with taxes included. A bit steep for our budget, but there seems to be no other kid-friendly alternative given that we're booking this late. We're traveling with our 1.5 year-old son to visit Chicago for the first time. Without a car, we were looking to stay close to N Michigan Ave. as possible. Found this on Hotwire, and it seemed right. Amenities: Free Internet, Indoor pool(s), Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access. Do let me know if you'd recommend any other area for lower price, for future reference.
