If anyone is wondering about the 3* Montreal East hotel with no reviews, but a good price, it is likely the one I just got stuck with - Auberge le Pomerol. The listing shows free breakfast, free internet, boutique hotel, business centre, internet access. I know it's buyer beware with Hotwire, but I have to say I'm really disappointed with this one. To give the 'hotel' credit, it does have good reviews on Trip Advisor. However, looking at the rooms I would be more inclined to equate it with a bed and breakfast vs a 'boutique hotel'. I'm disappointed that I will basically be staying in a hotel room that looks like my own at home, with the added eyesore of a Jacuzzi tub right next to the bed (in some rooms). I'm also hoping that when I call my husband and I aren't stuck with a room containing the twin beds, as this would be a pretty crummy way to spend our special weekend away from the kids. Just felt a little duped on this one, as it doesn't really compare to any of the other hotels for Montreal that I've been checking out. Oh well. Learned my lesson the hard way.
