Yes, there is a pool but I'd have to say that for someone to say 3.5* they'd have to be smoking something really good. Not a bad place to sleep and the staff was nice. Wouldn't want to spend a lot of time at the hotel, however which I'd expect better from a 3 star let alone a 3.5*. I've stayed @ Days Inn Old Town regular fare for ~$30 and this wasn't much better.
Just got back. There was a pool (we didn't use it). 3.5* is a bit of a stretch. The room was decent size but the quality of the hotel wasn't much better than Days Inn Oldtown. Location is good although the construction on 535 is a bit of a pain to get out during rush hour. Thought there was a musty odor in the hallway although it might have been a recent coat of paint. Office staff was AWESOME, however. Seemed like everyone was really nice. Better than Disney hotels in that department, strangely...
FYI, this appears to be Doubletree Hotels Club Orlando-Lake Buena Vista At least that's what I just got although at $44, same amenities and it's been showing up the last week or so at least...
