Never mind. Found the search engine that tells you the star availability in each zone!

The Hotwire Hotel List forum shows Treasure Island as the only 4* in Strip North. The amenities all match as well, except for the "Customer Favorite" mention, so I would say its most likely TI.

I had a bid rejected for a 4* North Strip hotel(Mirage or TI). Are there other zones I can safely add for a rebid that don't have any 4* hotels? Thanks.

I starting bidding in early Feb. for 5* North(3/30-4-2) by lowballing in the $110-120 range. I didn't always get a counter-offer, but when I did, it was always either $197 or $207. As some of our other options(PH, Bellagio) began going up or selling out, my brother made a bid of $149 on Leap Day and was successful. I then tried for $145, but was countered with asking to raise my bid by $22. Knowing that $149 was accepted just moments before, I rebid by adding the Speedway zone(no 5* there!) at $149 at got in.

Good luck in your quest. I'm staying there 3/30-4/2 for my brother's 40th! We each got rooms(I mean, suites) with bids of $149 a couple weeks ago. Have a great birthday.

I was missing out on some Travelzoo deals that were getting booked up for a Chicago trip 8/12-13, but thanks to this board and the hotel list, I was able to determine that I was gettting the Sheraton Towers for $83 off!! Thanks to all who contribute here.
