Used HOTWIRE link to book. We booked other nights of our trip through Priceline (this priceline win is posted separately). Had been trying for weeks to win the full length of our stay on Priceline with no luck, so we broke up the stay. We got the Red Lion on PRICELINE. Successfully guessed that the hotel shown on HOTWIRE was the Red Lion. Full list of amenities: Free Internet, Smoke Free Rooms, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service), High-Speed Internet Access, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking. In retrospect, we should have booked this directly with the hotel, as we could have booked for only $1 more using the AAA discount, or $11 more/night to get breakfast. Oh well.

Used PRICELINE link to book. Winning bid was for $60 + $4/night bonus cash (from Entertainment Card). This will be a new property for us. (We've stayed previously at the Hyatt, Crowne Plaza, and Doubletree in this zone.)

Extending a trip to Disneyland. We were hoping for the Doubletree, but the Crowne Plaza will work. Thanks! :)

Doubletree Hotel in Anaheim-Disneyland South $66 10/05/11-10/08/11 Amenities shown were Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, High-speed Internet. This is part of a longer stay. Had been trying unsuccessfully to book the whole stay through Priceline, but wasn't having any luck getting anything in the $50-$65 range. I ended up booking the front end of the trip (at two different rates) through Priceline, then getting the rest of the dates through Hotwire. Risky but we ended up with all the nights at the Doubletree! :)

I've been trying for a few weeks to reserve a room from 10/01/11-10/08/11 in the Disneyland-Anaheim South zone but was having no luck. So, I took a calculated risk and tried splitting it up. (We've been hoping for the Doubletree. We've stayed there several times and love it. We would have been okay with the Crowne Plaza though.) Bid $45 from 10/01/11-10/03/11 (using the PRICELINE link on this site) and was accepted for the Doubletree on the first try. (I'd tried these same dates at $45 and $46 a couple of nights ago without success.) Then, took PL's offer to extend the stay: the only options were 10/04 and 10/05, so I tried through 10/05. PL came back and rejected the extension for $45, but gave me the option of $61. I took the $61 offer for those nights. (Didn't want to fool around any more to save a few dollars.) Then I went and booked the rest of the nights through Hotwire--also the Doubletree. (Will post that separately on the Hotwire forum.) Have I mentioned that this is the greatest site ever? THANKS! :)

Started bidding at $45. Offered a rebid opportunity by increasing bid from $15-$58. (Thanks, but no thanks.) Rebid #1: Added Laguna Beach at a bid of $48. Rejected but again offered a rebid opp by increasing bid from $15-$58. (Again, no thanks.) Rebid #2: Added Anaheim Hills at a bid of $50. Accepted. Very happy with the Doubletree Anaheim! We've stayed there a couple of times before and enjoyed it very much.

Bid $50 and was rejected. Waited 24 hours, bid $60 and received an instant re-bid offer of $77 from Priceline. Skipped the rebid offer, and added additional zones without 4* hotels, bidding $65 and $68, before being accepted at $70.

Offer for $35 was rejected previously, but PRICELINE offered free re-bid for $9 more, which I ignored. Tried again 24 hrs later and bid of $40 was accepted.

This is the Holiday Inn on Howe & Helmcken in downtown Vancouver. My husband and I stayed there last summer for a couple of nights, and found it quite nice and in a convenient location. We're pretty pleased with this rate, especially considering that a couple of weeks ago, it seemed you couldn't touch anything in Vancouver for this date under $95. Police Fan Club show, here we come!!! :)

Initial bid of $60 for Revere-Logan Airport zone rejected. 1st re-bid: Added Brighton/Brookline zone; bid of $65 rejected. 2nd re-bid: Added Medford zone; bid of $70 rejected. 3rd re-bid: Added South Boston; bid of $80 accepted. Wish there was a Priceline for Red Sox tickets.... :)
