  1. Thank you so much for the insight. I ended up using the PRICELINE link here and got the Hilton Atlanta for $80. I'm a little disappointed because the reviews on TripAdvisor are hit or miss...mostly miss and it appears that this hotel is a bit off the beaten path as far as downtown hotels go. Oh well. I guess I'll just have to make the most of it, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed. :-(
  2. Used the link on betterbidding and was able to secure a room at the Westin for $66. Thanks so much!
  3. So I bid on a hotel downtown Atlanta last week for a Friday check in, overnight stay, and was extremely pleased with the results (which I will post in a minute). I wanted to do it again for a Saturday check in this weekend, but this time I need two rooms. I'm kind of nervous to pull the trigger, because the pricing, based on what I've seen here, is neck and neck with the Sheraton which, based on a coworker's experience, is NOT a good hotel. I got the Westin last week and while it doesn't have to be the Westin, I don't want it to be the Sheraton. I saw that people were winning the Sheraton bidding $65 or less and the Westin at $66 or more, so I bid $66 and got the Westin. Do you think that threshold has changed since last week? Do you think that the check in on Saturday versus Friday may affect what I get, based on what I bid? I was thinking I could possibly change my bid to $70 to increase my chances of NOT getting the Sheraton (I really want the Westin again) but I'm really torn. Any advice?
