  1. Hi, I have tried 3,5* up to 54 eur with all zones in Chicago plus the re-bidding zones and did not succeed. Then I have tried 4* up to 54 eur with all zones plus re-bidding. The next day I have started with 57eur 4* for O Hare South and got the offer to increase by 10 eur in order to do a re-bid. I have rejected and tried 58eur for O Hare and Lincoln Park. Offer was accepted and I ended up with the Hyatt :) I was using the PRICELINE link from the website!
  2. Thank you for your support! I have used the biddinghelper and ended up with the venetian for 197eur / 215usd per night. FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free Internet, Resort, Suite, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in showe VENETIAN In the end I am a bit frustrated that I did not book earlier when the rates were lower.. but at least I have the venetian. Lets hope they will upgrade us to 2 queen beds :)
  3. I want to book double occupancy and hope that I get 2 queens my budget is lower because I was expecting to pay less, but I see that the rates have went up.. Therefore I'm willing to increase my budget.
  4. I would like to avoid the Wynn and aim for Venetian or palazzo since we will be 4 people (2 couples) and we want to stay in one room on 2 queen beds. I know that it might cost us a fee at the reception and can be taken as an upgrade, but we will take the risk. travel dates 2 July - 5 july budget is like 180usd per night
  5. Actually, when going through the biddinghelper easy tab view.. then only this one works: North Strip 5* - 192 USD / 175 EUR FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower The other two hotels do not work :(
  6. Hi, I figured out that I forgot to book the hotel in the end. Can you please help identifying the following two 5* hotels? North Strip area all-suites hotel - 176€ per night Sat, Jul 02 - Tue, Jul 05 1 Room, 2 Adults 95% recommended (709) Amazing! Complimentary Free InternetFree parking Amenities Business centerCasinoFitness centerPool(s)ResortRestaurant(s)Suite North Strip area casino hotel - 176 € per night Sat, Jul 02 - Tue, Jul 05 1 Room, 2 Adults 90% recommended (622) Favorite! Complimentary Free InternetFree parking Amenities Business centerCasinoFitness centerPool(s)ResortRestaurant(s)Suite I would have posted the details when going through biddinghelper's HOTWIRE EASY VIEW, but when I click on the hotels for 195 USD/night I get an error message and can't finalize it. On PRICELINE EXPRESS DEALS I see that there is only one north strip hotel for 206 euro per night. I remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... Do you have any other recommendations? I feel like the prices went up during this week, but I have to book something until latest Sunday. Thank you for your support!
  7. Yes, I am still searching July 2-5 for 1 room. How can two different properties be priced the same? I still see the deal on priceline express. 174 USD/night & 154 EUR/night. I have selected 5 stars and casino on the filters.
  8. Hi, Can you please help me identifying the following 3 hotels? PRICELINE EXPRESS: Las Vegas Strip North Area 5-Star Express Deal Casino Hotel Guaranteed Amenities Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities 174 USD / night HOTWIRE: 5* North Strip 166 USD / night ULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free Internet, Suite, Resort, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower 5* North Strip 166 USD / night FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free Internet, Resort, Suite, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower I guess it is most likely Palazzo and Venetian, but I prefer the Venetian. Any ideas?
  9. I did not know it is considered as an upgrade, because we always ended up in 2bedded rooms in the past. The plan is 1 room with 4 adults. The rates increase heavily when I select such an option on the Biddinghelper. I would prefer to select 1 room for 2 adults and do my best to get a 2 bedded room. I guess the chances are higher at the Venetian since the hotel is larger than the Palazzo and has more rooms. Is this correct? Current status on hotwire for 1 room / 2 adults: 5* North Strip 174usd FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free Internet, Suite, Resort, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower 5* North Strip 189usd FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free Internet, Resort, Suite, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower 5* North Strip 201usd FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
  10. My concern is that I will choose one of the deals (which is not the Trump) and then it is not the Venetian in the end. I would like to sleep with 4 people in one room which is very much possible in the Venetian since they have only suites and as far as I know all of the standard suites have 2 beds. Is this also the case with the Palazzo?
  11. Where do I see that the listing is specifically giving the option on the detail page when it comes to PRICELINE EXPRESS deals or HOTWIRE deals?
  12. I am fine with the other three hotels, but it is not 100% given that it will not be the Trump at the end. In genera, I am fine with the other 3 hotels. One more question concerning the other 3 hotels - are they all having suites like the Venetian? I only know the Venetian from inside the rooms and I was wondering if we can stay with 4 people (2 couples) in one room as we would do with the Venetian. Thank you!
  13. Is there any other booking option for not ending up in the Trump?
  14. Thank you for the hint. I have used the easy view tab at BiddingHelper.com. Please help me identifying the following hotels: 5* North Strip FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free Internet, Spa services, Resort, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Kitchenette $109/night 5* North Strip FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free Internet, Suite, Resort, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower $147/night 5* North Strip FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free Internet, Resort, Suite, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower $156/night 5* North Strip FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower $201/night
  15. Hi, I have been a couple of times to Vegas already and was using the priceline bidding for ending up in the Venetian usually. Since things have changed and the chance is quite high to end up with the Trump, I definitely need a new strategy. After again checking the hotel lists for PRICELINE and HOTWIRE, I will have to use PRICELINE EXPRESS deals for 5* or hotwire 5* deals for getting the Venetian or Palazzo. Is this correct? The last thing I want is to be stuck in the Trump :( Data 4 people (2 couples) checkin 02/07 checkout 05/07 Preference Venetian or Palazzo (btw what is the difference between the rooms in the Venetian and the rooms in the Palazzo) We already made our peace with sleeping in a Venetian suite together. Therefore, one room for 4 of us. Is the Palazzo the same size and so on when it comes to the room? Currently on PRICELINE: Venetian regular rate $258/night PRICELINE EXPRESS DEALS: Guest Score: Rated 8.0 out of 10 (or higher) Guaranteed Amenities: Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center Non Smoking Check In:Sat Jul 2, 2016 Check Out:Tue Jul 5, 2016 $129/night - 2 rooms selected This is probably not the Venetian or Palazzo. Can you please help identifying the HOTWIRE deals? HOTWIRE: 5* North Strip area casino hotel Complimentary Free Internet Free parking Amenities Business center Casino Fitness center Pool(s) Resort Restaurant(s) Suite $156/night 5* North Strip area all-suites hotel Complimentary Free Internet Free parking Amenities Business center Casino Fitness center Pool(s) Resort Restaurant(s) Suite 147$/night 5* North Strip area hotel Complimentary Free parking Amenities Business center Casino Fitness center Golf nearby Internet access Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Tennis nearby $201/night What do you suggest and what options do I have for getting something else than the Trump? How high are the rates for the weekend July 4th? Is it reasonable or can we expect something crazy expensive? Thank you for your support! Lukas
  16. In the end I have got the New Yorker when bidding for 3,5* hotels. I have also included the CPS area. At 86 EUR (97 USD) I did not win. The bid got accepted at 88 EUR (99 USD). Thank you for your support and I have used the Priceline Link to bid :)
  17. I completed the bidding and I did not succeed with the last strategy for 3,5* hotels. Any suggestion besides including the MSG into to the strategy for the Wyndham?
  18. Okay, so I am done with your 4**** bidding strategy up to 100 USD. For now, I prefer to stay in the budget and I can live with a 3,5* hotel. If I do not succeed with a 3,5* bidding strategy for the areas ESB, TS, MTE and MTW, then I will consider the MSG area to get the Wyndham or I will book it on hotwire. Can you please provide a bidding strategy for the above mentioned areas? Thank you for your support! :)
  19. Thanks for the feedback and I am sorry for not being precise enough. Yes, I do follow the strategy, but I do it in EUR. That's why I came up with 92 USD :) I did not use the HOT.WIRE offer so far, because I will maybe get lucky with the bidding strategy. The other problem for me is that I do not like the Wyndham that much. I stayed in the two Affinias that I have mentioned before and they seemed much better than the Wyndham. I don't know why, but I don't feel comfortable with the Wyndham offer on HOT.WIRE. And the Affinias are 3,5* or at least where back then. I was satisfied with both 3,5*, so I rather go down to 3,5* bidding strategies than paying above 100USD/nite plus tax. That is the reason why I have asked about Chelsea or Hell's kitchen. I do not know where the price range begins and ends for hotels in these areas when it comes to bidding. Is it supposed to be a bit less than 4* bidding strategies for MTE, MTW, MSG, TS, ESB? And no, I do not consider UES as a re-bidding zone. I was just asking if it can be seen as a re-bidding zone since your hotel list shows a 5* hotel only and no 4* hotels. And yes, I know that list is not reliable enough, because PRICELINE offers 4star bidding. I actually did not bid on CPS so far. My question was if chances are high that I end up with the Hudson when I start bidding the CPS zone. I like the location of the zone and the hotels provided in your hotel list, but I do not know if it is worth bidding there since hotel fees are higher than in MSG :( Since I do not have that much time after work, I did not finish to complete the entire bidding strategy so far. I will continue now at my 83EUR level (apx. 95 USD) and keep you updated when I win something. If I do not win, I will let you know, because I would need a 3,5* bidding strategy. I hope you can help me. I am using the PRICELINE links on the board.
  20. so I have checked UWS (Upper West Side) and I see onlye the Empire Hotel on your list. This hotel is pretty close to CPS. What is your experience for this hotel? Is it selling at $100 through bidding or is it way more expensive? What's the deal with the hotel fees? They are pretty high for CPS and MSG. Is there any reason for that? Does it mean that there is a certain hotel behind those fees?
  21. Thanks for the support. I am following and still bidding as you recommended. My current bid is at 92 USD already. Regarding the Hudson Hotel, it does not seem a good deal. I have checked the tripadvisor photos and it seems really bad with the small rooms. Are chances high that I end up with with the Hudson, because it is the cheapest? And what about the other zones like UES, UEW, Chelsea and Hell's Kitchen? I have checked UES and there is supposed to be no 4* hotel, but a 5* hotel. Can I use this zone as a re-bidding zone? What are the pros and cons about the other zones? Hope you can help :)
  22. Thank you for the detailed advice! Just to be on the same page, I see 3 re bid zones: Coney Island, Queensborough Bridge and Morningside Heights. Is this correct? I see the HOTWIRE deal for 103USD/night. Are you 100% sure that it is the Wyndham Hotel? I think it is a pretty good deal. Does it actually make sense to start bidding on priceline? I am not quite sure if the priceline 4* hotels which I can get by bidding are better or worse than the Wyndham. Can you rank the hotel somehow within the other 4* hotels offered by priceline bidding? Thank you, Lukas
  23. Hi, I have been to NYC a couple of times and it was like 3-4 years ago when I was bidding for a 3,5* hotel. Back then I got the Affinia Shelbourne and the Affinia 50 for pretty good rates. However, things have probably changed and rates are higher now.. so I was wondering how I should start and where I will probably get the lowest rate through bidding. I want to focus on Central Park South, Empire State Building Area, Midtwon East, Midtown West, Madison Square Garden and Times Square. I actually do not know if Hell's Kitchen is bid-worthy. Since NYC is walkable, we do not care that much where the hotel is located as long as it is a nice area. Upper East Side is too far away from the center I guess and I am not so familar with the Chelsea Area. The budget is like $100/night and I need 3 rooms. Is there anything you guys can recommend or should I just start bidding with a cheaper area and then add areas plus increase the bid by $2? Thank you!
  24. Hi, I did not manage to get rooms in any other area, so I have tried severeal times the Vondel area. I was hoping to get a NH or something close to Leidseplein. Unfortunately, I have ended up with this one. Hope it wont be a pain for us to walk to the centre for 2 days since it is too cold for biking. Started with $68 increasing to $88 by $2 for 2-3 days. Today I have tried $90 and got the Park Plaza right away. I should have tried the 3 more central areas first :/
