  2. First bid, seems price is almost the same as via booking.com
  3. Won the Hesperia Emperatriz after trying for a few days. Started with area 4 and added area 6. Price of $51 was not accepted. Seems the deal is ok, the hotel is bookable for 20 dollar more on their own site.
  4. Tried 51 dollar and went up to 57 by adding extra stars. Couldn't find any 3* in the OTHER COUNTRY list but still I think this is not expensive ! (used the PRICELINE link)
  5. I am sorry. It was MILAN in Italy. There are only 2 zones so I only used the centre zone (not near the airport) I didn't expect there was a 3 star hotel in PRICELINE but seems it's not a bad deal

  7. First bid : 100 dollar. Including taxes : 115.24 dollar Used the PRICELINE link on this forum
  8. I did use the PRICELINE link in your signature.
  9. Just won the 4* The Empire First bid: 210 with TimesSquare Second bid: 220 with Midtown West Third bid: 225 with Upper West Think the deal is pretty good (?) since it's 6 nights in april which is more expensive than spring. The Empire Hotel44 West 63Rd Street New York, NY 10023 212-265-7400 Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $225.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 6 Room Subtotal: $1350.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $254.81 (USD) Total Room Cost: $1604.81 (USD) Check-In: Wednesday, April 8, 2009-03:00 PM Check-Out: Tuesday, April 14, 2009-12:00 PM I've called the hotel and they already have the reservation in their system. For 30 dollar per night I upgraded the room to 2 beds. Is that normal price ?
  10. OK I booked it like you said. Made one mistake and had to add 1 night via the phone. Didn't get a confirmation yet about that :) I've send an email to the paramount to request upgrade for 7 nights to Superior room and hopefully they can do that so I stay in 1 room the whole stay. Thanks for your advice. I really like this forum and always try to use the link (can't remember if I used it this time though) thanks a lot.
  11. Sounds good. For now I've booked the whole stay via the site you mentioned and it's on REQUEST at the moment. I hope they can make it for me. We'll see in the next 24-48 hours. thanks
  12. I received a mail from them but I asked them if it's possible to get the Paramount room with an upgrade to the superior room because we noticed previous stay in Paramount that the rooms are not that big. (incl bed) But they didn't react on that question yet :) I will try to call them today. Second choice is the NIGHT hotel in NYC. I found a rate which I think is the best possible rate so far. But as you found better rates for the Paramount... can you try ? :) PS: how does that "on request" works for EasyClickTravel ? What if they can't fullfil the request ? Do you still have to take the other nights or is the booking completely cancelled at that moment ? edit2: I called them. If they can't get the rate they won't charge you. And another thing ! The Paramount can give you a reservated upgrade !!!!
  13. Hi, I'm looking for a nice hotel in MTE/MTW for 7 nights starting 03/28. I stayed 4 times already in NYC and never had the luck of booking a nice hotel via savingsbarn.com. (Altough used this site for hotels in Philadelphia,Toronto,Washington,Ottawa etc) Any suggestions ? I know 7 nights is long but is it possible ? I found the best rates on bookings.net so far (which is a dutch/uk company !) and I prefer the Night hotel, Dream hotel, Paramount. (all around 1650 - 1700 dollar ex tax for 7 nights)
  14. Just email them and ask for room 2519 for example. That's the room we had. Very close to the CN tower and quiet floor. All lower floors are non smoking but they gave me an other room on the 25th floor which someone turned into smoking room. They gave me 2519 and it was perfect. I have some pictures but I will post them on the web when I'm back (@ tripadvisor)
  15. Had my wife bid and started with 75, 88 and 99... Won the Loews Downtown for 99$ for 2 nights. Total 235.70
  16. Looking for a 4* hotel in Downtown Philadelphia. Seems it's difficult or maybe I'm trying too low... Went up from 55 with all free re-bidding zones to 88 without luck. Any thoughts what they expect me to bid ? And is there any good expection for what I get when I start bidding for the 3* ? thanks
  17. Hi, Comparing the names of the bidding zones at priceline and at this forum I can't find all free bidding zones... Philadelphia (Airport PHL) Philadelphia (Cherry Hill - Mt. Laurel) Philadelphia (City Line) Philadelphia (Trevose - Bensalem) Philadelphia Suburbs (Exton - Malvern) Philadelphia Suburbs (Horsham - Willow Grove) Philadelphia Suburbs (Plymouth Meeting Norristown) Philadelphia Suburbs (Valley Forge) Priceline says: Cherry-Hill City Line Gloucester-Runnemede-Deptford Philadelphia Airport Stadium area Trevose University area So as you can see all Suburbs don't have the same name at priceline... any thoughts?
  18. Convention Ctr - Capitol Hill Area 999 9th Street Nw Washington, District Of Columbia 20001 202-898-9000 That's the one... thanks
  19. First bid 75 dollar for Downtown next bid 79 dollar for Downtown + Capitol Hill (total 188.93) Won the Renaissance Washington DC
  20. Great deal for a great hotel. Drop them an email for a non smoking room on the 25th floor and they probably put it in the system. In the directory guide they say "complementery internet" but it will cost CAN9.95 per day. Just ask for it and maybe they give it for free to you.
  21. 75 dollar + tax. We stayed last night and it was great. They gave us the lowest floor though (5th) but we still were able to see something of the Falls. Hotel was great, perfect beds, good rooms.
  22. thanks for the explanation... interesting that it start so early ... interesting as well that 3/10 - 4/10 in Toronto was expensive but in Niagara Falls it's not too bad yet. anyway, we will see where we will stay the 2nd night...
  23. First tried bidding for 1 night 10/03 - 10/04 with my own creditcard up to 72. No luck (60-66-72) THan I Used my wife her creditcard and started with 75. Won the Niagara Falls Marriot Fallsview. I wonder what room we get but at least we have a nice room for 1 night. 2nd night, we will see. thanks, and YES, used the savingsbarn link
  24. sorry but you've mixed up my topic... I'm not looking for Toronto now, but for Niagara Falls 2 nights :)
  25. It's a problem these days :) 2nd night is unbelievable expensive... Some hotels offer 115 CAD for first night and 435 for 2nd night. What's going on in Niagara Falls ? :-)
