Priceline accepted my first bid of $70. I actually offered $70. for 2.5*, but, Priceline automatically upgraded to 3*. Maybe I offered too much! However, we are very pleased with Marriott @ $70. I always try to use PRICELINE link from Betterbidding website. It seems to bring me luck. :)

Fluffy towels. The alarm clock in our room was broken, but management provided a timely wakeup call. NO fridge or microwave in room. Attached to an IHOP Restaurant, so, hotel patrons are able to eat breakfast at a price of $4.99, with hotel coupon. Located 10 minutes from Titusville shoreline where observing NASA launches is excellent and free. Several newer 2* and 3* hotels in immediate area. Recommend using the HOTWIRE Link through betterbidding. :)

:) Just booked Chicago's Hard Rock @ 230 North Michigan Avenue for $95.00 per night. We love the fact that Hard Rock provides complimentary Coffee and free wireless internet in all guestrooms. :-) Amenities Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center, & High Speed Internet Trip Advisor Rating 4 of 5. :) :) We are traveling next week, so, website rates at 3-4* hotels in Newport are VERY high. First bid $89. for a 3.5 star @ Goat Island/Newport and was denied. Second bid 3.5*--added Middletown region--and offered $97. Accepted by Hyatt Regency in Goat Island/Newport Beach. YEAH! Our same arrival/departure dates at Hyatt Regency website are $239. + $239. + $329. + 329. The PRICELINE savings will apply toward this hotel's mandatory $20. per day self-parking fee. Very happy to have secured three rooms at Wyndham Playhouse Square at a cost of $60. +$10. tax per room. This location provides a short walk to Gund Arena where the 6 of us will enjoy the Billy Joel/Elton John Concert! :) Hello Partyanimal 2K, Please, do not despair. Just want you to know that I have visited Las Vegas many, many times. In fact, 4 of us will be there 10/22-10/27. I intend to use priceline to secure two rooms. The Monte Carlo is actually a very nice casino! They have a micro brewery on-site (great for party animals!) Best of all, their location is next to New York New York, across from MGM, and a short walk from the gorgeous fountains of Bellagio. You are also close to the FREE monorail which runs South to Mandalay Bay (from The Excalibur) and you can pick up the "pay-to-ride" monorail at MGM. I consider the Monte Carlo very convenient to lots of Vegas highlights and a TERRIFIC bargain at $60. per night! Have a great time!

Huge atrium, nice restaurant with separate bar & gift shop. Both FREE highspeed connection and FREE wirelesss offered in all guest rooms. CAUTION: this is NOT a Holiday Inn Express, therefore, there is NO breakfast included with overnight stay. We drove 10 minutes to McDonald's for a light (inexpensive) breakfast. Used the HOTWIRE link on Betterbidding's homepage. :)

My initial bid of $66. was accepted by the Marriott in downtown Dayton. (I should have started with a lower bid!!) Interesting to note that Priceline offers two other downtown, 3* Dayton properties (Crown Plaza and Doubletree) at a MUCH lower price than the Marriott. I am surprised that my $66 bid wasn't accepted by either of those lower priced properties. Hmmmm.

Original bid @ $65. for any 2-star in Naples was rejected. Added Bonita Springs & increased to $71. but, rejected. Waited 24 hours and tried again, beginning with $85.00 minimum bid. Accepted by Laquinta Inn (Airport/Bedzel Circle) Used Savings Barn link.

Thereuare, This, NYC Tudor Hotel thread, helped me AVOID making a purchase that would have been disappointing. We need to be lots closer to Penn Station. Instead, we used betterbidding's HOTWIRE link to purchase the 3*- Holiday Inn Express Madison Square Garden @ $119./night. We are very happy!! I have posted the successful Hotwire/Holiday Inn purchase as a new topic. Hope my feedback helps other savvy travelers!

:) Wooooo Hoooooo. During the past 3 weeks, we have been persistently trying to confirm 2 hotel rooms in Niagara Falls, Ontario, for 9/9-9/11,2007. FINALLY, today, my FIRST bid of $79. was accepted at the 4**** Sheraton On the Falls. We especially like this hotel because parking is FREE-- across the street at the casino--if you gamble a bit. Linking through Savingsbarn.com seems to bring me luck. :-)

I am VERY pleased with my accepted bid of $70. plus tax @ the downtown Detroit Renaissance Marriott. $70. was my FIRST bid. Of course, I used the PRICELINE link through savingsbarn.com and booked 2 rooms for arrival on September 8, 2007. Sure hope the Tigers win their game!!!

Hi. I am anxiously monitoring your progress with Boston bidding. I have used Priceline with lots of success in several large cities, however, downtown Boston 4-star hotels are continuing to deny my offers. We need 2 rooms on the night of 9/17/07. I am hoping that rooms will become available as September approaches. I, too, will post results after we get a confirmation from Priceline. Good luck to us both. :)

Used Priceline to book 2 rooms at Westin Bonaventure for the nights of 3/23 and 3/24--Friday and Saturday nights. My FIRST bid of $89.00 was accepted. DARN...I should have started with a lower bid. Oh well, I am pleased with this 4-star hotel. Note: I originally tried bidding for hotels located in Beverly Hills and my final bid of $125. was declined for these same March dates. $89.00 per room 2 rooms 2 nights $60.26 taxes/fees $416.26 TOTAL :)

Booked 2 rooms for 2 nights @ Toronto Sheraton Centre. Arrived 6/8/06 and departed 6/10/06. My initial Priceline bid of $79.00 accepted PLUS taxes of $14.68. Thus, the total cost of EACH room was $93.68 per night. GREAT!! NOTE: Sheraton charges $35 USD per 24hours for parking :) . We used independent garage adjacent to hotel (connected via underground) for 1/2 the price. :)

Hello! We booked 2 rooms at Chicago's Westin River North through Priceline. Arrived June 2 & departed June 4, 2006. Paid $101+18.03 taxes PER ROOM/PER NIGHT. (Parking was $40.00 :) ) Note: I began bidding River North area @ $90. for any 4* and received a counter offer of $110. from Priceline. I declined Priceline's counter and rebid $101. which was immediately accepted by Westin River North. BARGAIN!!!
