thanks for the guidance... i acutally started bidding at $85, rejected. bid increments of $3 using 5 rebids zone until $100, rejected. tried another 4 rebid zone up to $112, still rejected. i decided to stop at $112 for now, may give it another shot in the upcomings days.

Staying in toronto for 5 nights. I'm looking the stay in Toronto Downtown South, since I want to avoid DT north due to the Sutton Place (heard bad things about it) I'm hoping for a 4* for about $100/night. The westin have regular room rates for $155/night. So that would be my option if I can't get a 4* for under $100. Thanks for the help

Looking for a 4* or 5* hotel in Hong Kong (Central Kowloon or Tsim Sha Tsui). Check in : 10/16/06 Check out: 10/21/06 I'll be there for 5 nights. My max price is around $150/night. I know 5* is out of the question for that price, but any chance of getting a 4* for that price? TIA for your help!!

my rejected bid was at $180. so i used my last bid at 185 and got it!

i just tried your strategy (except i upped the bid amounts by $10)....on my third and final try, i was able to get the hyatt regency monterey for $185/night. The regular price is $229, so I just saved $44. Thanks a bunch! :)

oh, that was my bids from yesterday. i have not place any new bids within 24 hrs since PL won't allow me to. i believe my max bid was $155 for 3*, pacific grove and carmel zone, placed yesterday. my 24 hr is coming up, so I will have new bidding chances. :) thanks so much for your input...greatly appreciated!

i'm fine with all 3 zones in monterey. i've place bid of $155 and still got rejected. the price is getting just as close to the regular rates :) . man i thought i would be able to get a deal with priceline. what am i doing wrong?? :)

yes, i selected both zones. i first tried just the monterey zone, then added carmel.....no luck. i have no backup reservations yet. i'm willing to pay $175/night at a 3*, but of course would love to find a cheaper deal.
