Plus $14.33 taxes for total of $69.33. Started at $40. Utilized zones for Boiling Springs and Aurora since they didn't have 3 1/2 star hotels. Day before, received suggestion I up my bid to $63 or $68 (don't remember) for a better chance of winning. I waited till morning of, submitted bid for $55 and won. Called hotel direct and confirmed King bed. Only hitch- When we arrived in room, discovered it was a smoking room (seemed very strong for non-smokers). Was told hotel booked so no place to move us and that Priceline had put it through as a smoking request. I never thought to ask the hotel before hand. This was our first time with Price.line so it will be a lessoned learned.
