The person I was travelling with ended up booking the hotel (not through Hotwire or Priceline that I'm aware of)

Anyone have any advice for what hotel might be listed as 2.5 star for St. John's Newfoundland? Under PRICELINE EXPRESS deals they have one listed as 2.5 Stars with: - Free WIFI - Parking - Airport Shuttle - Pool - Free Breakfast - Business Center - Gym I think it might be Hampton Inn

When you call the hotel what exactly are you asking for? Just to ensure that there is two beds in the room?

Max budget likely $135-$140 per night (USD).

Oh I see the confusion. I meant $170CDN not USD, didn't realize that. I'm seeing a lot of posted rates around the $200 mark (other travel sites) and figured I might be able to land something sub $170 CDN from priceline. I thought Westin was in "Downtown Southwest" but it looks like its right on the border between the adjacent zone.

Not sure if that is really the best deal. I can book directly with Westin Harbour Castle for about $20 more total on a refundable booking with a premium view. . Was hoping for perhaps a cheaper alternative. Is it possible to use 4 people per room to ensure two beds or does that go against policy.

Yes two beds would definitely be required it at all possible. I'll check with Express and Hotwire to see the prices are. I'd really like to keep per night rate at about $170 or below. I can book ASAP. What are the chances of getting two beds at check-in time? Hit or miss?

Looking for some assistance in bidding on a 4* in Toronto Downtown Southwest zone for Aug 12-13th. I have no real idea where to start with the bid? Also, how can I ensure two beds in the room (or is it even possible)?

I think I got it figured out: Brampton Burlington Markham Mississauga Oakville Scarborough Toronto Airport West Toronto East Toronto North - North York Toronto North - Vaughan Toronto West. So I start with my desired zone Downtown Southwest - Entertainment and try for 4*. If rejected, add one of the above zones and an increase bid amount and try again.

How do I know the star levels of each zone?

Area I am interested in is Downtown Southwest - Entertainment Area. Would also consider Downtown Southeast - Union Station.

Hey there, I am looking to get a booking for downtown Toronto (near the rogers center) from Oct 16-18th. I prefer 4*+ and would ideally like to keep it under $175 per night. Any advice?
