Thank you, I'm sure you're right. I ended up booking the Key Bridge Marriott directly with Marriott for $99 a night. Beats the Hotwire fees plus I get hotel points. I appreciate your help!

July 1-4, 3* Arlington-Falls Church Area Amenities: FREE Parking, Indoor pool, Pool, Restaurant, Business, Hi speed internet, Access for Blind, Access Deaf, Access Path of Travel, In room accessibility, Access Bathroom, Handicap Parking, Roll in shower Recommended by 90% $97/night, 2 adults, 2 children It seems to be a cross between 4* Westin Arlington and 3* Holiday Inn at Ballston, but when I go to the HI website, there's no indoor pool, and when I go to Westin, theres a fee for parking..... Any thoughts?

Will continue to try to research this one. Won't bid unless I have a good guess as to what it is. Too much at stake! Sorry I didnt' resolve from 2007..... :)

Thanks for responding! Looking at 7/11 and 12th. Wanting to do all those things you mentioned and thought being closer would be more convenient? Or not a nice area?

We currently have won on priceline Hilton on Ave. of Americas for $126. They've given the option to get more nights for same price. (How long is this offer generally granted?) Originally thought we wanted to priceline bid for 4 star downtown hoping to get Milennium. Wanted to be close to SOL, Brooklyn Bridge, Canal Street, Chinatown, WTC site. My concern is we're a family of 4 travelling (in 1 room) and we may get Tribecca or 'boutique' hotel. Was wanting the pool for the kids, but realize we may not get it. What would you do? Stay at Hilton for remainder of trip and just subway/bus/taxi those sights? Or try for the downtown one?

This was my first attempt. My backup was at Comfort Inn Midtown for $175 and $200/night. :) Much better of a deal! Will be working shortly on an attempt for a few more days! Does anyone know which direction the elevators are from where taxi's drop you.. and if security is at the exterior doors or at the elevator doors?

Thanks to everyone's tips and information on here! Now if I weren't so paranoid about sneaking in my kids. We're checking in LATE due to a late flight so don't know how inconspicuous we can be? Lobby big enough to hide them??? :)
