  1. Bid $35 for 3* in Kansas City Airport (zone 3). Offer was declined and I was given the option to increase price to $45. However, I added Platt City zone (which I believe has no 3*) and increased price to $40 for the winning bid. After fees and taxes my total was $54.67. Found the hotel on other sites priced from $87 to $119 (before fees and taxes). Very happy with my deal!
  2. I expanded my search to include the Westport Maryland Heights area. 5/28/2013 thru 6/01/2013 3-1/2* - $52 per night Sheraton Westport Hotel Lakeside Chalet Free Parking Pet friendly Airport Shuttle Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Thanks for your help!
  3. I'm sorry. It's also showing the following: Accessible path of travel In room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicap parking Roll-in shower
  4. Thanks for the response. This morning, only the amenities listed above were on the Hotwire site. Now all the above plus Laundry and Tennis Nearby. The downtown hotel is no longer listed for me either. Thanks again for your help!
  5. Hello. I was hoping for some help in IDing a couple of St. Louis hotels. My preference is a 4* or better downtown hotel, but those appear to be difficult to find for my dates (or just too expensive). I'd settle for 3-1/2* Forest Park-Clayton area. I used the link on this site to search Hotwire for: 5/28/13 thru 6/1/13 2 adults and 2 children 3-1/2* Forest Park - Clayton $74 85% recommended Indoor pool(s) Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Tennis Nearby Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf 3-1/2* Downtown $143 (perhaps more than I want to pay) 85% recommended Indoor pool(s) Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Accessible for the deaf In-room accessibility Handicapped parking Accessible path of travel I wouldn't be above trying Priceline but I've always felt more comfortable using Hotwire. I also clicked the PRICELINE link from this site. I'd appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks!!
  6. I used the BB PRICELINE link. First bid was 3.5* Overland Park-Lenexa for $40 but was not accepted. PRICELINE offered to allow me to rebid immediately without changing my options if I raised my bid by $12 (not sure if this is something new or if it's just been too long since I made a bid). I opted to add a a zone since I was confident Olathe did not have a 3.5* hotel. Second bid I added Olathe area and changed my bid to $45 - accepted Doubletree Hotel Overland Park-Corporate Woods (current online rate is $79). I've booked this hotel on HOTWIRE before for $50+. It's a nice place for the $ (plus has a indoor pool for the kids). Thanks BB!
  7. Accessed hotwire via savingsbarn.com booked hotel on 7/12/06 for one night stay on 8/05/06 2 and 1/2 star amenities = airport shuttle, fitness center, restaurant, & business center Four Points by Sheraton 5805 West Kellogg Wichita, Kansas 67209 (316) 942-7911 1 room @ $41.00 per night TaxesAndFees: $11.70 Total: $52.70 :)
  8. I accessed Hotwire via Savingsbarn.com Amenities: Boutique, Fitness, Restaurant Thanks to this forum, I had identified this hotel as the Tremont. Although it has mixed reviews, I was tired of trying my luck at PL (several days of failed attempts up to the $100 a night range). Thanks everyone for your help!!!! :)
  9. Too many 3* in the loop that I would rather not stay in. It's my first trip to Chicago. My 17 year old daughter & I are planning a mother/daughter week (we're from a small mid-west town, don't get to the "big city" much & want it to be memorable - in a good way).
  10. Under $90. No back up reservations yet. I see an $88 3* Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness on Hotwire in NMA - Water Tower - Gold Coast. I believe it's the Tremont - don't really want to stay there(too many mixed reviews). I didn't see the Tremont listed as a PL 3*.
  11. Followed suggestion to the letter, but all bids were rejected. I would consider a 3* in the NMA area if the price was right?. Should I try that tomorrow? I know I'll have less rebid attempts. Thanks again!
  12. Ok - it's now been 24 hours. Time for a clean slate. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  13. I checked the zones on PL website before placing first bid. Midway & Skogie areas did not show a 4*. I placed original bids less than 2 hours ago. My bidding history. First attempt: $75 4* NMA $75 - rejected added Loop at $85 - rejected I exited PL website. Second attempt: $90 4* NMA - was instructed by website I could not bid & needed to change something added Skogie $90 - rejected added Midway $100 - rejected I really would rather stay NMA area, but the Loop is my second choice. Should I try again bidding on the Loop area or wait awhile? Thanks again :)
  14. I have read the rebidding link. Would like to pay $100 or less. Should I add the Midway Airport area? It appears not to have any 4* hotels. This makes me nervous because I really do not want to stay in that area. This is my first time bidding on PL. Thanks for the help!
  15. I would like to stay in the NMA area August 7 thru 11 (4 nights) in a 4 * Just bid $75 for 4* NMA - > rejected added Loop area, still 4*, bid $85 -> rejected again Any suggestions?????
