  1. Scored this one for $60/night. Got great reviews on Tripadviso. Used the PRICELINE link. Thanks for the tips!
  2. I was able to get the Quality Inn in Worcester, MA for $75/night for September 3-6th using the PRICELINE link.
  3. I'm a little late on this one but I used the PRICELINE link here and got this hotel on the first bid of $60. We stayed there from January 29-31. It was the Clarion Conference Center in Northampton. Not the greatest hotel we've stayed in but very good customer service.
  4. I consistently get this great hotel for this awesome price. Using the Betterbidding PRICELINE link: Bid $38 for 2/5* in the Billerica/Tewksbury zone Was upgraded to a 3* Won the Doubletree in Lowell for $38 This is a great hotel however, the last time I won this on Priceline, they sold my room and relocated us to the Wyndham in Billerica (another nice hotel). I've been trying to get an answer from Priceline as to whether this was kosher or not but having gotten a reply to my email or phone call. This was the first time I've encountered this inconvenience from the Doubletree as I've stayed there several times without a problem.
  5. Can anyone identify this hotel? Newport News/Williamsburg Intl Airport PHF 2* October 11-20, 2008 $35/night 1.3 miles to the airport....only amenties listed are a coin operated laundry. Thanks!
  6. Through the advice of another member of this site got this great hotel from July 4th to 7th, 2008! $45/night for a 3* Sheraton Framingham in Framingham, MA.
  7. I got the Doubletree in Lowell, MA for $38 for April 15, 2007 on my first bid. I stayed here last year and it's a nice hotel. You can't beat those Doubletree cookies at check-in! The area is very urban but the location is very convenient.
  8. I got the Radisson in Chelmsford, MA for $30. We have stayed in this hotel before and it's beautiful. This is my bidding history: $27 Salem-Andover $33 Salem-Andover accepted at $30 when I chose the Billerica-Tewksbury area
  9. We stayed for two nights in this hotel. The website has the La Quinta logo so we assumed they would have the same quality standards as the rest of the La Quinta chain. We were wrong. The hotel shares a parking lot with the Outback restaurant next door so parking was a problem. The exit only door didn't shut properly so anyone could gain access to the hotel even without a room key. There were cigarette butts and an empty corkboard covered in graffiti in the elevator. The mattress was thin and hard and the shower knob was very difficult to pull. The shower head supplied a meager spray. The amenities consisted of one bottle of shampoo and two small bars of soap. We were only given two small towels. The coffeemaker filter basket was filthy. The website says there is an outdoor pool but we found out after arriving that the pool is indoors. This could be considered a bonus but we didn't pack swimsuits so it was a disappointment. It was probably a blessing in disguise if their cleanliness standards for the pool were anywhere near those for the rest of the building. The website said there was a free continental breakfast but the in-room directory made no mention of it. I called the front desk and was given directions to the Breakfast Room. It wasn't worth the effort as the selection was very limited. We left a tip and a note for the housekeeper asking for more disposable cups and extra towels. When we got back to our room at 8:00 pm, housekeeping hadn't been in. I inquired at the front desk and was told housekeeping only comes when you call or "when you've been there a month". I have never heard of this in all the hotels I've stayed in. We checked the in-room directory and saw checkout was at noon so we packed up and left right before 12:00 pm. To my partner's surprise, his room key didn't work. He checked at the front desk and was told check-out was at 11:00, not 12:00. The whole building had the feeling of an inner city tenament. I would never stay there again.
  10. Complimentary breakfast, pool, fitness center, laundry facilities. I'm posting this after my stay. It was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in.
  11. No back-up reservation yet as we really started looking late in the game. We would like to find something for under $50/night that's not too cheesy. I stayed at an EconoLodge in Williamsburg a few years ago that was such a dive I was afraid to fall asleep at night. I'm a little nervous about ending up somewhere like that again.
  12. I'm looking for a good price on a hotel (any * level) for the Yorktown/Williamsburg/Newport News area for the week of October 14th through October 22nd, 2006. This may be a futile task as we're going down for the big Yorktown reenactment and there will be hundreds of others looking for the same kind of lodging. Thanks for any help or advice.
  13. First try: $39 Connecticut Grand Hotel and Conference Center Regular price $77/night I used the savingsbarn.com link.
